One night stand with my president(chapter 91)

Chapter 91: Feeling Unsettled

Harrison thought, "She didn't keep her promises."

"Harrison? What are you thinking about?" Myra softly called from the side.

Since it was made by his mother, Harrison didn't refuse. He got off the bed and sat at the table, quietly eating.

Myra sat beside him, watched him eat, and said with a smile, "So, how is it? Have I lost my touch?"

Swallowing the oatmeal in his mouth, Harrison said, "It's delicious."

"Do you remember that when you were a child, you tried my oatmeal once and said you wanted to learn?" Myra smiled, "But after you learned, haven't seen you make it many times."

Harrison had just made some last night for Adeline.

Myra immediately sensed that Harrison wasn't quite right.

"Harrison, what's wrong? Are you still feeling unwell?" Myra asked with concern.

After speaking, she reached out to feel Harrison's forehead.

"You're not running a fever anymore."

"I'm fine," Harrison said.

Myra said meaningfully, "If you're physically fine, then it must be something bothering you emotionally?"

Harrison furrowed his brows but didn't answer.

"When I was upstairs just now, I saw Eleanor coming out of your room," Myra said. "Did you two have a fight?"

"No."

"Oh, then it's not because of her. Is it because you woke up and didn't see Ms. Hensley, so you're feeling unsettled?"

As his mother, Myra could accurately guess his thoughts.

However, Harrison also knew Myra well.

If he told her the truth, it might cause trouble for Adeline.

"It's not," Harrison said. "What does it have to do with her?"

After saying that, he added, "I'm not feeling unsettled."

"You have grown up, and you won't be honest with me anymore."

"Mom, you know I've grown up," Harrison said. "So, you shouldn't worry too much about my affairs."

"I'm your mother. Who else should worry you if not me?" Myra was a little upset, "Let me tell you straight. Whether it's Eleanor or Adeline, neither of them will marry into the Thomson family!"

After saying this, she regretted it.

Harrison had just been sick and barely eaten anything. Why did she have to say these things to him at such a time?

However, Harrison didn't seem to be too affected by her words.

He calmly said, "Mom, if l ever want to marry someone, she would be herself first, then my wife, and then your daughter-in-law. So your words are meaningless. As long as we love each other, we will be together."

Myra looked at him in shock.

After a long time, with Harrison almost finishing the oatmeal, she said, "Are you out of your mind? Have you forgotten your status? You are the heir to the Thomson family, with the entire burden of the Thomson family on your shoulders. If you don't have a wife from a well-off family to assist you, you will be very miserable!"

Harrison chuckled and said, "Mom, do you think I've been miserable in these five years?"

With this question, Myra was momentarily speechless.

Indeed, ever since Harrison took over the Thomson Group, he had elevated the company to new heights.

But in these five years, there hadn't been any "well-off wife" assisting him.

"Mom, you should also know that with the strength of the Thomson family and my abilities, there's no need for arranged marriages," Harrison said. "You just feel that only a rich heiress is worthy of me, worthy of the Thomson family."

Myra didn't get angry or deny being exposed by her son.

She said confidently, "Even if that's the case, what's wrong with that? I'm doing this for your own good!"

"For my good, then it should also feel good for me," Harrison retorted.

Myra wanted to say more but suddenly realized something.

She narrowed her eyes and looked at him, asking, "Are you saying all this just to pave the way for Ms. Hensley?"

"Why bring her up?" Harrison's expression turned cold. "I'm just stating the facts to you."

"You..."

"Mrs. Thomson, Harrison, may I come in?"

Eleanor's voice came from the door.

Though Myra was still angry, she didn't forget to maintain her noble image in front of outsiders.

She straightened her back and said, "Come in."

Eleanor sounded hesitant at the door again.

"Mrs. Thomson, could you please help me open the door? I'm a bit inconvenient."

Myra was annoyed. What had Eleanor done?

Although she thought so, she still got up, walked to the door, and opened it.

Eleanor was holding a tray with a teapot and a few teacups on top.

"I saw tea leaves in the kitchen, and knowing that you love tea, I brewed some for you,"

Eleanor said cautiously. "Would you like to try it?"

Myra stared at the teapot in her hand for a while, then smiled and said, "Sure, you're considerate. Come in."

Eleanor breathed a sigh of relief and followed Myra into the room.

At this moment, Harrison had just finished his oatmeal.

Putting down the spoon, he said expressionlessly, "I'm going back to sleep. If you want to have tea, drink it outside."

"Why in such a hurry? Have a bit," Myra said, sitting down at the table.

Eleanor didn't rush to sit but picked up the teapot to pour tea for Myra.

Amidst the fragrance of tea, Myra smiled and said, "I didn't expect you to still know how to make tea after so many years abroad."

Eleanor replied humbly, "I knew you have always loved it, so I didn't dare to forget."

Her words seemed overly flattering, so Myra didn't respond but just accepted the teacup.

She took a sip and said, "Hmm, it tastes good."

Getting Myra's approval, Eleanor breathed a sigh of relief.

However, Harrison became increasingly impatient.

"I'm not interested in tea. Can you leave now?" he said in a cold voice.

He glanced at his phone.

Adeline hadn't sent him a single message.

He was so angry he felt like storming over to Adeline's place right now.

"Harrison, if you don't want tea, shall I make you some coffee?" Eleanor asked cautiously.

"No need," Harrison replied.

"Right now, I just want some time alone."

Myra knew that if she stayed any longer, Harrison might not even spare her any friendly look.

"Alright, if you feel like we're disturbing you, we'll leave," she said.

Myra smiled faintly, set down her teacup, and stood up to leave.

Eleanor looked down at the tea on the table.

Myra, after saying the tea tasted good, only took a small sip.

"Do you have anything else you need?" Harrison's voice sounded cold.

Eleanor shivered slightly and managed to force a smile.
