One night stand with my president(chapter 86)

Chapter 86: l'm a Patient

"How come?" Adeline asked in surprise, "What about Alex and the others?"

"Yesterday, I gave them the day off, so

they're all out today."

Harrison's voice was very serious, so he shouldn't be lying.

Adeline hesitated for a moment and said, "So, should I arrange for someone to come over?"

The other end of the phone suddenly went quiet, with only the heavy sound of Harrison's breathing.

She seemed to sense  Harrison's anger from his breathing.

"I understand," Adeline said immediately. "I'll come over right away."

After saying that, she quickly hung up the phone, afraid that Harrison would scold her.

Before leaving the company, she instructed her colleagues in the president's office on some work matters.

As soon as she left, others began to discuss.

"Where is Ms. Hensley going?"

"I don't know. She didn't say."

"Mr. Thomson didn't come today. Is Ms. Hensley going to see Mr. Thomson?"

"Maybe there's something going on, like an inspection."

"Mr. Thomson going out for an inspection? How couldn't we know?"

"I just heard Ms. Hensley calling Mr. Thomson, but I don't know what's going on with Mr. Thomson."

"Alas, I think Mr. Thomson and Ms. Hensley are suitable for each other, but their backgrounds are different, and Mr. Thomson's unrequited love has returned."

"I heard that Eleanor is about to become the spokesperson for the Thomson Group..."

On Harrison's end, as soon as he hung up the phone, he said to Alex, who had just brought him medicine, "Take everyone out now."

"Huh?" Alex was stunned.

"Go wherever you want. I'll reimburse the expenses. No one is allowed to come back until I call you."

Hearing this, Alex became anxious. "What are you saying? You're sick. If we all leave, who will take care of you?"

"Someone will take care of me," Harrison said.

As he spoke, Alex seemed to realize something.

"I understand. I'll take them out now, and if there's anything, you can contact us immediately," Alex said.

After Alex finished speaking, he promptly turned and left.

Harrison lay in bed, unable to suppress a smile.

He had been feeling uncomfortable since he woke up in the morning.

But now, just thinking that Adeline was on her way to him, he suddenly felt like it wasn't so bad.

When Adeline arrived, she indeed found no one at home.

Fortunately, she knew the door code, so she came in directly.

But after entering the living room, Adeline hesitated.

She had been here before, but mostly to deliver documents or files to Harrison.

Every time, Harrison was either in the living room or the study.

Even when Harrison was drunk last time, she only went into the living room and left when she saw them help Harrison upstairs.

Adeline had never been to Harrison's bedroom.

After some thought, Adeline picked up her phone and called Harrison.

Before long, Harrison's voice came through the phone.

"Why haven't you come yet?"

"Mr. Thomson, I'm here," Adeline said. "But, I don't know where your bedroom is."

"Go upstairs, turn left. It's the second room," Harrison said.

"Alright."

Adeline went upstairs, walked to the door of the second room, and knocked.

"Come in."

At this moment, Harrison's voice sounded even weaker than on the phone.

Adeline couldn't help but feel worried.

Harrison didn't get sick often, and she remembered only two occasions. One was the last time at the company, and the other was now.

But last time, he was sick for three days.

Could it be more serious this time?

She pushed the door open and saw Harrison lying in bed, covered with a blanket.

But the blanket wasn't properly covering him. It only reached his abdomen, with both arms and chest exposed.

Most importantly, he wasn't wearing a shirt on his upper body.

Adeline immediately noticed his abdominal muscles.

She suddenly blushed.

Although they had slept together, it was just that one night.

She took a deep breath and silently reminded herself that he was a patient, and she shouldn't have improper thoughts about him.

It wasn't appropriate.

Finally calming herself down a bit, Adeline walked to the bedside and reached out to pull up the blanket.

Harrison slowly opened his eyes.

"Mr. Thomson, you're sick. You can' t cover yourself like this," Adeline said. "Cover your arms too."

"The air conditioning is on," Harrison said.

"You still need to cover up properly with the blanket."

Harrison obediently tucked his arms in, leaving only his head outside.

"Do you want to take medicine first or eat something?" Adeline asked.

She thought that if Harrison was hungry, she would go to the kitchen to make him something light.

Unexpectedly, Harrison asked, "Where are the cookies?"

Adeline was stunned for a moment and asked, "Can you still eat cookies? I'll make you something light and easy to digest."

"It's fine. I'll have a couple of cookies first."

With that, Harrison tried to sit up on the bed.

Adeline quickly pressed him down, saying, "Let me bring you some clothes first. When you get up later, put on clothes immediately

to avoid catching a cold."

"Oh," Harrison said listlessly.

"Get them from that side of the closet."

Adeline looked at him, who was only showing his head while speaking to her, and she couldn't help but want to laugh.

She had to admit that he was quite cute.

She walked to the closet, opened the door, and took out a black sweater.

"Mr. Thomson, is this sweater fine?"

Harrison glanced at it and said, "Yeah."

After saying that, he didn't make any moves.

Adeline could only say, "Mr. Thomson, you should put on your clothes."

Harrison said weakly, "Ms. Hensley, I'm a patient."

Adeline pondered the meaning of his words.

Did he want her to help him get dressed?

"Then let me help you sit up."

As she spoke, Adeline placed the clothes aside and reached out to help him up.

During the process, her hand unavoidably touched his bare back.

His back felt hot, and her palms also warmed up.

Adeline brought the clothes over.

Harrison glanced at them and slightly lifted his arms.

It was clear he wanted her to help him get dressed.

To be honest, this was the first time she had done something like this for him.

The last time Harrison was sick, he took care of dressing himself.

The sweater was a pullover.

Harrison had been lying down, and his hair was already messy. Now, with the sweater on, it became even messier.

Adeline couldn't help but chuckle after seeing it.

Her laugh immediately earned her an annoyed look from Harrison.

"I won't laugh." Adeline quickly covered her mouth.
