One night stand with my president(chapter 35)

Chapter 35: Ronan Thomson

After all, Ronan was part of the Thomson family and Lorenzo's grandson, so nobody would object to him becoming the deputy director of the HR department.

Moreover, the Thomson family's descendants had all been learning about various aspects of the company's affairs since childhood, preparing themselves to manage the family's business in the future.

Harrison was the most outstanding among them, which was why Lorenze handed over the reins to him when he stepped down.

However, the other children were also quite capable.

"Got it," Harrison said. "Let him come to the company tomorrow."

"Alright, although that kid is smart and capable, he's still young. While he's at the company, guide him a bit more," Lorenzo said.

"I got it," Harrison said.

After chatting with Lorenzo about family matters for a few more moments, Harrison hung up the phone.

Back in the private room, Sam approached and asked, "Who was it? Ms. Hensley?"

"Wipe that smirk off your face," Harrison replied. "It was my grandfather."

Upon hearing it was Harrison's grandfather, Sam refrained from making jokes and asked, "How's your grandfather's health? I've been, meaning to visit him for a while but just haven't found the time."

"He's doing well," Harrison said. "He mentioned having Ronan take up the deputy director position in the HR department."

"Wow," Sam exclaimed. "Ronan? The guy is handsome. Your company's young ladies will go crazy for him." Harrison chuckled.

"Don't act like you don't believe it. He's been a magnet for attention since he was young. I remember the Gordon family's heiress was into him, acting like she'd die if she couldn't have him. The thing is, that was right after he came of age. Although you' re handsome too, you're too aloof.

Most girls only dare to like you secretly, but Ronan...” At this point, Sam suddenly remembered something and smirked mischievously. "By the way, has Ms. Hensley met Ronan?"

Harrison gave him a cold look.

Adeline hadn't met Ronan.

Even if she had, it wouldn't change anything.

"Judging by your expression, I take it she hasn't?" Sam said.

"You better watch out. If Ronan snatches Ms. Hensley away, you'll regret it."

Harrison replied, "The people around me aren't that easily swayed."

"True, but that's Ronan...”

Harrison was annoyed; he wanted to shut Sam up.

At that moment, an image flashed through his mind, Adeline standing next to Ronan.

It hadn't happened yet, but he envisioned it as though he d witnessed it firsthand.

Sam looked on leisurely.

Harrison was stubborn. He clearly had feelings for Adeline, but he refused to admit it.

Or perhaps Harrison hadn't even realized it himself.

After lunch, Adeline returned to the president's office.

She wasn't one for napping. After making herself a cup of coffee in the pantry, she sat back down at her desk to continue working.

After a while, someone lightly tapped on her desk.

Adeline looked up to see a young man standing in front of her, smiling at her.

He had two cute canine teeth visible when he smiled, quite charming.

"Hello, Adeline. Is Mr. Thomson in?" the young man asked.

Adeline stood up and asked, "Mr. Thomson isn't here. Who are you?"

Anyone who could come directly to the top floor into the president's office had to have a significant position.

"I'm Ronan Thomson."

Upon hearing the name, Adeline figured out who he was.

She hadn't met Ronan in person, but she had heard of him. He was Harrison's brother.

"So, you're Mr. Thomson's brother,” Adeline said politely.

Ronan looked pleasantly surprised, mixed with some joy. "You know me That's great. Meeting you is the highlight of my day."

He was handsome and sweet. Most people would probably be charmed by him, but Adeline wasn't easily swayed. She smiled politely and said, "Mr. Thomson went out for lunch and should be back shortly. Please have a seat and wait here."

"Thank you."

Ronan pulled over a chair and sat down next to Adeline.

"Would you like anything to drink, Mr. Ronan?" Adeline asked.

"Adeline, no need to be so formal. Just call me Ronan," Ronan smiled again, showing his two little canine teeth.

Ronan?

Adeline pictured a lovely dog wagging its wail to her.

She was amused, a faint smile playing on her lips.

"I don't need anything to drink. Adeline. Why don't you sit down and we can chat?" Ronan said.

"You must be the secretary who's always by my brother's side."

Adeline nodded and said, "Yeah."

"I just graduated from college. If there's anything work-related that I don't understand, please teach me," Ronan said.

Adeline wasn't surprised by his words.

Ronan was part of the Thomson family, so joining the Thomson Group was expected.

She just didn't know what position he'd take after joining.

"It's my pleasure," Adeline replied. "I often seek advice from Mr. Thomson about many things."

"I know my brother is capable, but he seems so aloof and unapproachable. Honestly, I'm a little afraid of him. Adeline, it must be tough sticking by his side all the time, isn't it?"

Before Adeline could respond, she heard a familiar voice say, "Is it so tough that you need to worry for her?"

She looked up and saw that Harrison had returned at some point, standing not far away and watching the two of them.

There was a strong hint of displeasure in his expression.

Adeline wondered if something unpleasant had happened during his lunch outing.

"Brother," Ronan stood up and said, "you're back."

Seeing Harrison's displeased expression, Ronan was a bit nervous.

"When did you get here?" Harrison asked

"Just now."

When he heard that, Harrison's expression softened slightly.

It indicated that he hadn't been chatting with Adeline for long.

"Come with me."

After saying this, Harrison led the way into the office.

Ronan glanced back at Adeline and followed Harrison inside.

Once inside the office, Ronan stood obediently in front of Harrison.

"Brother, Grandfather asked me to report to the company."

"Yes, Grandfather already informed me," Harrison said calmly. "'I will have someone take you to the HR department. As for what comes next I don't think I need to remind you."

"Don't worry, I know what to do." Ronan grinned. "So, who will take me there? Ms. Hensley?"

Harrison raised his gaze, looking coolly at him. "Do you think Ms. Hensley has nothing better to do?"
