One night stand with my president(chapter 55)

Chapter 55: Harrison Mocks Kaylie

What he said last night was indeed excessive.

Now thinking back, he thought that no matter what was going on between Adeline and Russell, no matter how angry he was, he shouldn't have said those words to Adeline.

Any woman who experienced that kind of thing was bound to have some emotional scars.

And yet, he poked her where it hurt.

The more Harrison thought about it, the more regretful he felt.

Now he was a bit worried. He wondered if Adeline had secretly moved out from here last night.

Seeing Harrison's grim expression in the rearview mirror, the driver sat upfront and advised, "Mr. Thomson, if you want to see Ms. Hensley, why not go up and talk to her? Whatever the matter is, it' s best to sort it out. Ms. Hensley isn't unreasonable."

Harrison was stirred by this suggestion.

From last night till now, he hadn't properly apologized to Adeline.

If he didn't apologize, how could Adeline ever reconcile with him?

Just then, the unit door where Adeline lived was opened.

The person who emerged from inside was Adeline.

She was dressed in casual attire.

Harrison watched as Adeline walked into the downstairs supermarket.

After a while, she emerged again, carrying a bag, and went back into the unit.

He couldn't help but wonder what she just bought downstairs.

Moreover, he had just seen her casual outfit, with a large Kitty cat on the front.

Unexpectedly, the usually serious Ms.Hensley had such a cute side at home.

A smile appeared on Harrison's face.

Seeing him smile, the driver felt emboldened and said, "That must have been Ms. Hensley. It seems she's at home. Mr. Thomson, why not go up and have a good chat with her?"

Harrison was about to open the car door and get out when suddenly his phone rang.

It was a call from Myra.

He knew what she wanted to ask.

He knew what she wanted to ask.

In fact, Myra had been calling him this morning, and he hadn't answered any of them.

But she was his mother. He didn't want to upset her.

"Hello?"

"Harrison, you finally answer my calls." Myra sounded angry on the phone.

Harrison replied calmly, "Mom, getting angry ages you."

Myra sneered, "With a son like you, how can I not get angry? Come home immediately."

Harrison furrowed his brow.

"Grandpa is waiting for your explanation. Come back right now."

With that, Myra hung up.

Harrison rubbed his temples helplessly.

"Back to the mansion," he instructed the driver.

"Yes, sir."

The driver quickly drove the car back to the Thomson family.

Harrison got out of the car and entered the living room.

Lorenzo was sitting on the sofa, his expression unreadable.

Myra was seated beside him, with Kaylie next to her, her eyes red and swollen, looking like she had just cried.

"Harrison, you're finally back," Myra said disapprovingly. "What's going on between you and that actress? You better explain"

"There's nothing to explain," Harrison said coldly.

"You... When did you become so willful? If I'm not mistaken, that actress is the one who abandoned you and went abroad five years ago, right? Why are you still with her now?"

"I'm not with her," Harrison replied. "We just have a normal working relationship."

Myra looked at him skeptically. "Really?"

"Yes."

Myra breathed a sigh of relief and said to Kaylie, "Kaylie, you heard it? Harrison said it's just a normal working relationship, so don't be upset."

Kaylie looked at Harrison with red eyes.

Since he walked in the door, he hadn't even glanced at her.

She was so upset when she saw the news.

He went to a hotel with someone else and claimed it was just business?

"Eleanor, you fox," Kaylie thought.

She hadn't even dealt with Adeline, and now there was Eleanor.

Kaylie felt like she was going crazy. Fortunately, Myra was on her side.

"Myra, I understand now. I believe him," Kaylie said, her expression filled with forbearance.

Myra felt a pang of pity seeing her like this.

However, Harrison said, "Do you have any right to doubt me?"

Kaylie stiffened.

Myra immediately scolded,"Harrison, what are you talking about?"

"My explanation is for you and Grandpa," Harrison said. "It has nothing to do with others."

He was referring to Kaylie.

Kaylie looked embarrassed, and Myra was furious. She was about to say something when Lorenzo said,

"Alright, Harrison, come with me."

With that, he stood up and headed upstairs.

Harrison followed.

In the living room, only Myra and Kaylie remained.

Myra hurriedly comforted Kaylie.

"Kaylie, Harrison is just being wilful. I'll have a good talk with him."

"It's fine," Kaylie said pitifully.

"As long as I know he doesn't have that kind of relationship with Ms. Fraser, I'll be relieved."

Myra frowned and said, "That woman abandoned Harrison five years ago. I will not let her marry into the Thomson family."

"Myra, what happened between Harrison and Ms. Fraser?" Kaylie asked.

"I'm not quite sure," Myra said.

Harrison never talked much about his affairs with her. She just heard many people saying that Harrison and Eleanor were deeply in love, but Eleanor left Harrison to pursue her dreams.

So, she never had a good impression of Eleanor.

As for Kaylie, she had been relatively gentle and obedient, which satisfied Myra.

Lorenzo led Harrison to the study on the second floor.

"Is there really nothing between you and that actress?" Lorenzo asked.

"Nothing," Harrison replied.

Lorenzo breathed a sigh of relief.

He said, "You've always been a determined child. It should be the same in matters of the heart. Anyway, I hope you can be with someone you like."

Harrison responded, "Because I haven't found anyone I like yet, I have no plans to marry."

Lorenzo said meaningfully, "Sometimes, people can't even understand themselves. Oh yes, didn't I mention before that you should invite Ms. Hensley over for dinner? Why didn't you bring her back?"

Harrison fell silent.

Originally, he had planned to invite Adeline over for dinner tonight.

But after what happened last night, he couldn't ask.

Lorenzo observed his expression and asked, "Did you two have a fight?"

Harrison immediately said, "No."

"Don't keep that from me. You must have done something to upset her, right?" Lorenzo said.
