EPISODE 74

FLASHBACK: 

34 hours ago Joey held on to Kai like she was in possession of his oxygen. Kai shuddered as she wondered what could possibly be rampaging the head of her boss. She has never seen Joey this way before.

"Boss!" Kai cried out trying to make Joey aware of what he was doing.

"Oh I'm so sorry!" Joey apologized as he realized how firmly he held on to Kai. It hurts. 

"I need Jake's schedule." He said. "The very moment he walks out of the house tomorrow I need you to tell me about it. You hear me right." He said holding on to her again when he sensed the possibility of her being absent minded.

Kai wondered how she would be able to do that. It would have been a piece of cake if she still worked at the main building but no, she has been transferred to the penthouse, how on earth does Joey expect her to know when Jake would be leaving the house.

"I hear you Boss! Loud and clear. I would do just that." She said. Kai wasn't sure of the possibility of that being possible, but right now she was willing to tell Joey anything to make him see her capability once again. She was even ready to tell me she could get his the stars from the sky if he requests for it. 

She knew it wasn't going to be possible for her to do that, but, she could worry about that part later.

"Oh thank you so much Kai! I believe in you." He said.

"Should I inform Stacy about this?" Kai asked.

"No, don't worry about that. I would do it myself!" Joey exclaimed.

"Okay Boss!"

"You may go now." Joey said as he walked back to his human sized window and once again he stared into the streets, but he wasn't fixing his gaze on anything in particular, his mind though, was fixed on a particular thought.

"Good evening boss!" Stacy said over the phone to Joey who had called.

"Yh, evening Stacy!" Joey said in response.

Stacy said nothing, she knew jake didn't call her to hear her voice or ask her how she was. She knew he didn't call to hear her greet him. She knew he called because he had something to say and knowing who Joey was, there was no point hovering around. She kept quiet to give Joey the opportunity to get on with what he called to say.

"I would be at Jake's office tomorrow. I called to let you know ahead so you don't act surprised or shocked. We can't let them suspect even the tiniest thing. So just treat me the same way you would treat other people who would request an audience with Jake without prior appointment." Jake moved the phone to his other ear.

"There is something else I would need you to do though."

Stacy payed close attention to what Joey had to say.

"What do you mean?" Jake asked Joey.

"What do you mean what do I mean?"Joey said faking to be surprised by Jake's question. "You didn't know?" He asked still acting surprised. "You didn't know you had a sister?" Joey asked again.

The look on Jake's face was just as Joey had pictured.

At that moment Stacy knocked on the door and waited until she was granted permission before she walked in.

 "Sir you voice is a bit too loud. I could hear you clearly from outside and I mean OUTSIDE the office, not even my desk. Could you lessen the pitch of your voice?" Stacy requested. 

"And why did you leave your desk?" Jake asked.

"I went to make some corrections with the HR manager sir." Stacy said.

"Okay you may leave now."

"Thank you sir." Stacy turned to take her leave and just before closing the door she whispered to Joey. "Your voice sir, please take it down a little!" She pleaded again.

"Stacy!" Jake said signaling Stacy thạt she had to go.

The request Joey had asked from Stacy was to make sure she gets Jake into asking they go have their discussion somewhere outside the office. He didn't tell her reasons though. And Stacy, oh she did her job so well.

"Let's go out. The cafe next door sells good coffee." Jake said to Joey

"Oh I don't take coffee. I would rather we talk here, it's private and quiet. I could kill you without drawing attention." Joey said with a sarcastic laughter.

"Let's go!" Jake said ignoring the last statement Joey made.

Following Jake behind, Joey smirked.
