LEGALLY MARRIED TO MY EX (episode 84)

EPISODE 84

jake was still standing by the door even after he had entered the building.

The thought of talking to his mother about this matter made him feel uneasy in his chest for a short while longer. "We've got even more important things to discuss right now." As he bowed his head in sorrow, he said to himself, "I'm sorry." He and his mother haven't talked about the issues that have arisen in their relationship as mother and son yet.

There were still some uncertainties and ambiguity surrounding it, but that would have to wait for another day, and certainly not this one. His mind couldn't take it because it was already clinging to the last thread of sanity it could find. He would go insane if there was any more turbulence in the air.

When he heard Mrs. Mallory screaming from upstairs, Jake turned to walk out of the room. He came to a complete stop and then moved closer to her to figure out what had prompted her to make such an exclamation in the first place.

“Please repeat the words that you just said.”

"Thank you for your time." "Did you see who?" Mrs. Mallory dialed the phone and asked Tess who was on the other end of the line.

Jake was even more engrossed in the conversation now that he realized it wasn't one he was supposed to be listening in on, and that only added to the excitement of the situation.

"Mandy!" Mrs. Mallory burst out laughing. You saw Mandy, didn't you? Are you serious about this? So she was doing all of this while she was hiding. She had been hiding in the South for the entire time..." Mrs. Mallory took a quick breath and covered her mouth before continuing.

She realized she would only be letting people out in areas where her daughter was present as well. She needed to do something, and she needed to do it quickly. She needed to think quickly. If you saw her while traveling in South Korea, you should have informed me before departing for the country. "Can you tell me where you are right now?"

Jake was still listening to the conversation.

"You're not going to tell me!" My dearest child, how I love you! All right, bye!" Mrs. Mallory said as she came to a close on the phone call.

"Can you tell me what that was all about?" Tess was perplexed. She couldn't figure out where all the other things came from which her mother was spouting cane. Despite her attempts to call back, the call was diverted repeatedly. "Can you tell me what's going on?" As she stared at her phone, she asked herself this question. It's just that I'll never be able to comprehend this woman." Tess snorted before leaping onto the couch after dropping her phone in the living room.

Mrs. Mallory stood there quietly watching Jake tiptoe out of the house.

She couldn't keep a smirk off her face. She was old, but she had it in spades. She still possessed all of her natural abilities, including intuition and quick wit.

Mr. Mallory had chosen her because of her intellectual ability, which was one of the primary reasons for their marriage. Her assistance in resolving a crisis that would have cost them an investment deal worth more than half of the company's net worth

made him see her as a valuable asset for the company.

Jake had been in the room with her, but she hadn't noticed him until he got closer to listen in on the conversation.

It was the ideal way to use the enemy to lure the enemy into a trap. The fact that Jake couldn't stop himself from wanting to get his hands on Mandy was well known to her. At the same time, she didn't want to sell him on the fact that Tess was in South Korea, so she had to come up with something, anything to make it appear as though Tess was only there for a short period of time and was telling her about it after she had already left.

"Clean up the mess for me so I can just walk down the pathway without having to worry about it!" Mrs. Mallory said this with a grin on her face as she stood there watching Jake leave.

*******

"Mandy, you did a fantastic job!" As soon as they arrived at the house, Peekaboo congratulated Mandy.

Peekaboo continued to ramble on about how the entire situation unfolded while still in the car.

"You managed to get on video, eh?" Mandy asked.

"Of course, I did!" Was there anything else I needed to do? "I was able to capture even the trivial details on video." "I'm really excited," he said.

"All right, that's fine! Let's go check it out! Mandy exclaimed with a giddy excitement as well.

They both highlighted from the car and then dashed into the house, filled with the desire to sit down and watch it as soon as they could.

"Peekaboo, get it out of the bag!" Mandy pushed him off the couch because she had gotten there first.

"Pali Pali!" she exclaimed excitedly.

"Oooooh!" Peekaboo screamed, making a hyping noise in response.

"Someone has picked up a few lines from the previous night. Nice!" He said it once more.

"Araso!" She explained that she was attempting to persuade him to get over it and come help set up the video.

Mandy had ordered an iced Americano and was slowly sipping from it while she waited for Tess to walk through the doorway. When she realized she had caught up with Tess, she hurriedly placed the money for her drink on the table and walked to the door just as Tess was about to walk in. She had pushed herself towards Tess in such a seamless manner that you would never have known or guessed what she was up to. In the meantime, Tess had not touched her cap, so Mandy had to move the cap with her hand in that brief window of opportunity in order for it to fall. It was as if she was trying to force her face into Tess's face to make sure she saw her, but she avoided eye contact and kept making movements with her hand to give the impression that she didn't want to be seen.

The fact that she didn't respond to Tess’ apology was deliberate, despite the fact that she completely understood what she had said.

If there was one Korean word that Mandy had come to understand and also learn to say perfectly well, it would be "I am sorry." Mianhamnida was a word that Seo Joon used frequently with his mother, and it was one that Mandy had learned to say perfectly well. Because of how frequently and consistently he said it to his mother, she initially mistook it for a greeting and thought Seo Joon was being extremely respectful of her. She had made a remark about it at one point, and Peekaboo had responded by explaining what she had meant. She regarded Seo Joon as a troubleshooter from that point on, which explained why he always seemed to have something for which he needed to apologize.

"Damn you, girl! You're doing a great job! Like!!!" He spoke with his eyes and mouth wide open as if he were speaking to himself. He was simply taken aback by Mandy's flawless performance.

She did it with such ease as if the stage were her playground and acting had always been her favorite toy.

It was similar to watching a child interact with his or her food. It was exactly the same way Mandy was good at acting as they were at making messes. "We have to go into the office and report to the boss." If he doesn't

have something else he wants us to do here, then our mission has been successfully accomplished." Peekáboo said as he drew his phone from his running bag and put it in his pocket.

"Have a nice day, boss!" Joey was greeted by Peekaboo.

"Yh, Peekaboo, here we go. How are you doing?" He inquired.

"'m fine, sir," Peekaboo said something that sounded a little low at the end.

The tension between wanting to ask something and also wanting to give the report was almost palpable; it was as if he was trying to balance the two demands.

Mandy went to Peekaboo and got the

phone so she could give the report herself. This is the key holder saying.

"Hello Boss!" Mandy made the introduction.

"I understand," Joey said something softly. She didn't even have to say anything for him to realize it was her.

He could tell from the sound of her breathing that she was pregnant.

"Would you like to do the report yourself?" He asked her the question despite his racing heart.

"Yes, sir, no idea why, but Peekaboo appeared to be a little shaky, so ! figured I'd give it to you myself." She expressed herself.

"Yeah, that's fine. Go ahead and do it."

It appeared as though Mandy had picked up on what had caused Peekaboo to suddenly change her mood, and she could feel it as well.

Joey's voice had this emotion in it, and it was contagious. She, on the other hand, chose to ignore it.

"The mission was completed successfully, and we were pleased with the results. I'm confident that everyone at the Mallory's is aware of my presence in South Korea at this point."

Her voice trailed off as she refrained from inquiring as to what exactly the problem was.

"Okay. That's a good thing. Could you please return Peekaboo's phone to him?"

"All right, Boss!" As she handed the phone back to him, Mandy said something.

"Peekaboo!" Joey shared his thoughts.

'"At some point, you'd have to return to Santorini because I have something l

need you to handle alone, and then you'd have to return to Seoul and then back to California with Mandy." Please, I need you to complete the assignment I would give you to complete in Santorini as soon as possible so that you can return to pick up Mandy as soon as possible. I'm sure Jake and Mrs. Mallory are already thinking about how they can get in touch with Mandy at this very moment. "She needs to get out of there as soon as possible." Joey pleaded

"Don't be so concerned, sir; I wouldn't allow anything to happen to Mandy." Even if it means that I have to give my life." Peekaboo said.

"Thank you very much." Joey shared his thoughts. After the final 'you,' Joey heard a faint moan that signaled the end of the call.

"Boss!" Peekaboo yelled out when he heard the sound, but Joey had already disconnected the conversation.

Peekaboo turned to face Mandy, and then we all started saying whatever Mandy said. "Yeah, I understand."

"Did you have a similar experience?"

Peekaboo was perplexed.

"Yeah, I did," Mandy acknowledged with a nod of her head.

"I just hope the boss is all right!" Peekaboo muttered as he bowed his head down in concern.
