LEGALLY MARRIED TO MY EX (EPISODE 81)

EPISODE 81

Everyone in the room seemed to be

preoccupied with some thought or another. No one was even making an attempt to communicate with the other. It appeared like those who didn't seem to have anything on their thoughts were staring at their phones.

Seoul was a far cry from California in terms of climate.

Tess took a few steps back and tried to become acquainted with her new surroundings. "Will I be able to make it in this place?" She questioned herself.

She suddenly yearned for the aroma of California, the bustling traffic, and the people walking down the street with their eyes on others, checking to see if everyone was genuinely happy with them. The rate at which people perished in the disaster wasn't as high because everyone gathered as soon as the accident occurred, but she could tell that wasn't the case here, based on

the fact that everyone seemed to be preoccupied with something else.

"Mianhamnida!" As he brushed over

Tess's shoulder, a young man expressed his regret. Tess had actually . run into him because she had been thinking about a number of things at the time.

"Um.l'm sorry..'m really sorry!" After a series of fruitless attempts to make a public statement in Korea, Mandy eventually said something.

"I understand what you're saying." "It was

said by the young man." "Just keep your eyes on the road!" says the driver.

He gave her some advice.

"I'd do it. Thanks." She expressed herself.

They exchanged greetings and then continued on their journey in their own directions.

"However, my attention was focused on the road!" As she stood there watching the young man jumble away, Tess thought to herself.

Tess took two steps forward after being startled by a sudden burst of noise from behind her. After regaining her equilibrium, she stood up and tried to figure out what had made such a loud noise in the first place. In her mind, a series of possible events that could have occurred continued to run amok,

but she tossed them aside because she believed that if any of those events occurred, the sight she would see would be horrific based on the observations she had gathered from the people during the few minutes she had spent watching and studying them.

Then she turned around after she had finished acting out the possible scenario for what she might see if she looked in her head.

"Oh, my goodness!"  Tess let out a scream.

There had been a problem with the traffic light, and two cars coming from opposing directions had smashed into each other. The mishap was not life-threatening. Only the automobiles were severely damaged, but the persons who were in the cars were not seriously injured.

"Wow!" After finally becoming aware of the other sight her eyes had recorded, Tess gasped once more as she noticed a large crowd of people gathered around her. The same people she had assumed were preoccupied with something else and had their eyes glued to their phones were the same people who were alerted to the accident the moment it occurred, according to her. "Perhaps the folks of South Korea aren't so horrible after all," Tess thought to herself as she observed some people making phone calls and others attempting to offer first aid to the injured. "Perhaps the citizens of South Korea aren't so bad after all," Tess concluded. Although this was not a pleasant scene to behold, the sense of unity and love she could sense amongst these folks couldn't help but put a smile on her face.

The pocket of her coat vibrated, and she reached inside it with her hand,

scrabbling for the item, which had been placed among other stuff in the pocket.

"Good morning, Mom!" As she moved away from the scene, she mumbled something.

"Tess!" Mrs. Mallory let out a joyful shout of delight. "How are you doing, little one?" She inquired, her voice full of curiosity. "Can you tell me how things are over there?" She inquired one more.

"Mom, what is it that you are so enthusiastic about?" Tess inquired, but she did not

provide any responses to the questions she was asked.

"Can you tell me what you said?" Mrs.

Mallory inquired since it was difficult to understand Tess's responses.

"Do you think you can hear me, Mom?"

She inquired one more.

"No, not at all, honey. I'm sorry, but I can't quite hear you. It's quite noisy over there. What are your whereabouts?" Mrs. Mallory asked.

While looking around, Tess noticed a group of people at the accident scene attempting to load the last victim, a little girl, into an ambulance. "I'm now outside. I went outside to do a quick scan of my surroundings. You're well acquainted with my nooks and crannies!" She stated it in an attempt to be humorous. She was adamant about not telling her mother about the accident that had just happened. She was very aware of what a huge baby she was.

"Okay, that's understandable. Because of the background noise, it's difficult for me to hear what you're saying. Give me a call as soon as you get back home, okay? I adore you, but ladore you even more." Mrs. Mallory

murmured as he kissed Tess digitally on the cheek.

"Mom, please stop it," Tess pleaded, a little sheepishly. While she was on the phone with her mother, Tess thought to herself,

"Seriously, mum, there is certainly something you are not telling me."

She stood there for a few moments, watching the toll van arkive and collect the tolls from the damaged vehicles.

After watching both of the rolled cars vanish completely from her sight, Tess speculated to herself, "I imagine they'll be sending it to the refurbishment agency for refurbishing."

"Well, I guess I'd better get back to work."

As she made her way to the bus stop, she

mentioned something.

**********************

On the phone, Peekaboo responded affirmatively to the boss's question.

"Okay, Boss, I get what you're saying. I would notify her as soon as possible."

Joey had called to give Peekaboo some information, which turned out to be more of an instruction.

"Does everything seem to be in order?"

Mandy asked as she came across

Peekaboo, who was walking swiftly and moving his head as if he were on his way to a location where he needed to see something immediately.

"Oh, thank heavens you're here." He uttered that with a sigh of relief. “The only thing I was looking for was you."

“Why? What is it for?"Mandy asked.

"Oh, yes, it's all about our upcoming

expedition. The boss just called me to let me know that some changes had been made to our plans, which made the rest of our work that much easier.

"Can you tell me what you mean?" Mandy asked. "Come on, tell me everything." She was adamant.

"Okay." Peekaboo gestured to the couch,

a seat first. "Boss directed us to this location because he wanted you to contact any of the Mallorys, including Mrs. Mallory, Tess, Jake, or Tiffany, or any of them at all. He wishes to

reawaken you to their state of consciousness once more. So he instructed us to come here so that if they tried to follow your location, they would be able to track it all the way to South Korea, which is an Asian country, after which we would return to Santorini. while, you’re wasting your time here, we'll be putting together our next strategy."

"So, what exactly happened? What aspects of the plan were altered?" Mandy asked. She was becoming more and more enthralled.

Peekaboo shared his thoughts.

"Tess!" Mandy exclaimed, completely taken aback. Tess was the last name she had ever expected to hear in her life. "Can you tell me what Tess is doing here?" She asked.

“She had apparently come here to hide”

Peekaboo remarked, a sneering tone in his voice:

"Hide? Who is it that you are looking for Why?" Mandy inquired once more.

"I really don't know. The boss didn't provide me with many specifics."

"You must make your presence known to Tess. You must come into contact with her, but in a delicate manner. Don't let her know you're aware she's noticed you. Simply give the impression that you are hiding and make her believe that she has discovered you hiding. Do you believe you'll be able to pull this off?"

"It's a piece of cake!" Mandy said this with a smug grin on her face.

"All right then, let's get to work planning our course of action," Peekaboo said, his palms pressed together and making a loud noise.

"What exactly is going on here? What's all the fuss about?" Seo Joon inquired as he went into the living room, his eyes heavy with sleep. "Can you tell me why you had to wake me up?" Seo Joon let out a scream.

"Borago!" Peekaboo let out a cry. "I didn't mean what I said!" He exclaimed once more as he attempted to do the interpretation for Mandy, who was staring at him, her face expressionless.

She nodded her head, suggesting to him to continue.

"Oh, okay," Mandy answered, nodding her head and signaling to him to continue.

"Don't tell me you're just waking up sleep man?"  Peekaboo posed a question to which he already knew the answer.

“Can you tell me?" What does it matter if I'm right? Is that why you had to wake me up in the first place?" Seo Joon screamed out once more.

Peekaboo peered at the time on the wall clock that was hanging on the wall  directly opposite him, then at Seo Joon, then at the wall clock again, then at Mandy, and lastly back at Seo Joon.

"Man, you've got to be kidding me, right? You you expect me to believe what you've just said?" Peekaboo simply dismissed Seo Joon's claim because he didn't believe it to be true.

"Can you tell me who that is?" Seo Joon inquired as he squinted his eyes to view Tess's picture on the computer screen. "Wait a minute, isn't that...", I.. I'm going to have a closer look at the photo,' he explained as he approached Peekaboo and took the phone from her. "Yes, I was aware of it. She is the lady who I happened to run into earlier today while out jogging."

Mandy and Peekaboo both exclaimed at the same time.

"Wait!" Peekaboo shared his thoughts. "How could you have done it if you've been asleep since this morning? What is your name, Seo Joon? Did you actually go for a jog?" He asked.

Peekaboo's mouth was instantly covered by Seo Joon, who raced over to him. "Shhhh! I don't want my mother to find out. However, I've been looking for work since I'm weary of remaining at home all day. My mother is unaware of this, and I want to surprise her with the news when I finally land a position.

However, I don't want to tell her because I don't want her to get her hopes up too much in the process." "he said.

"Wow! Ah, Joon ah! I had no idea you had such a dark side to you. So, tell me where you saw her and when you saw her."
