Joey scoffed. " Not everything in life works that way. Sometimes you have to present your best ideas first, because while you're trying to save your best for the last, you could loose the interest of your listener while your are still yapping about your boring first news."

"Than you for the tip boss." Kai said loosing the confidence she had initially.

"So tell me about this great information if yours." Joey requested.

"It's about Mrs Mallory and Tess boss."

Kai said.

It's been a while since Joey heard those names, if all of this was just a novel he was reading, he would say the two characters already lost their relevance.

Kai had his attention. "What about them?" Joey ask with curiosity.

Kai's confidence was coming back once again. She could see the eagerness in Joey's eyes to find out what she was all about. 

"Apparently, we weren't the only ones after the Santorini deal." Kai was doing really well keeping Joey on suspense.

"What do you mean?" Joey asked.

"Tess was at Santorini, two days after Mandy left. She wanted to outsmart Tiffany, but unfortunately for her, we already outsmarted her."

Kai was the only person aside joey, Mandy and Peekaboo who knew about Mandy's trip to Santorini. Joey had to tell her, the situation at the time left him with no other option. "Is she back?" Joey inquired.

"No boss!" Kai said in a worried tone.

"And that is where the problem lies.She is not back, and she is not going to be back unless she finds out who signed the deal in her stead. Tess is a scary human boss, from the very first moment I laid my eyes on her I could tell. No one seems to know that, at least that was what I thought."

"What do you mean? Could speak in clearer terms!" Joey yelled. He was getting tensed up, not because the of the fact that Tess went there, but because of Mandy, he was worried about her. Even if he places 100 guards around her, he would only be a bit relieved if she was at his side. Jake

being after her life and e every other member of the group doesn't scare him, but hearing about how scary Tess could be does, because she was an enemy he had never had a brawl with, she was an opponent whose game tactics he wasn't familiar with.

"I overheard Mrs Mallory on the phone with Tess and she pleaded with Tess to forget about the whole thing and just return but Tess said she would only return after finding who signed the contract with the investors. I think Mrs Mallory and Tess are players we have to start paying attention to."

Joey paced across the room thinking of what to do. He stood suddenly, almost like he had figured it out. "Kai!" He called out. "I need you." He said.

"Someone is here too see you sir.' Stacy said to Jake as she stood at the door.

"Let whoever it is in then. You don't have to come inform me." Jake said.

"He doesn't have an appointment with you."

"What! So what does he want then. Send him away, I'm already too busy as it is already." Jake said.

"I've tried to sir, but he is adamant about leaving. He said if I told you his name you would allow him."

"Okay, so what is his name?" Jake asked.

"It's Joey sir, Joey Brandon. He also said you were both middle school best friends."

"Joey!" Jake screamed rising up to his feet immediately. "What in the ..."

"Should I let him in sir?" Stacy requested.

"Yes yes yes! Do so."

"Long time no see friend." Joey said as he walked into Jake's office.

"You must not be afraid of dying seeing how you willingly walked into the lion's den." Jake said.

"What! Lion?" Joey exclaimed as he bursts into laughter. "A predator doesn't wait for his prey to come out, it goes out in search of

them." Joey said giving Jake a pretty good impression of the fact that he wasn't afraid of anything.

"So to what do I owe this surprise visit."

"Oh drop the pretense. You and I know that you've been keeping an eye on me. So don't you act like you are surprised I'm here now." 

Joey said. "I'm here to strike a deal with you. I would tell you about who got your Santorini deal signed, while you tell me about your supposed sister. It's a win win for everyone. Give and take." Joey said to Jake offering himself a seat.
