EPISODE 64
Mandy stared at the TV screen with so much enthusiasm and a bright smile on her face, at this moment, she felt proud of the person on the TV. "That's my.." Mandy paused unsure of the word that was to come next.
"What exactly is he to me?" She asked herself.
It was at this moment that Mandy realized her relationship with Joey wasn't defined. She was as good as a stranger to him since she was practically nothing in particular to him.
"Here is what you asked for." Crystal the housekeeper said as she placed the files on the table.
Mandy didn't hear her, she was lost in her own thoughts.
"Ma'am!" Crystal said again trying to get her attention. "The stuff you asked for." She said again pointing at the files she already placed on the table. Mandy was conscious of her environment now, partially.
"Thank you," Mandy said half present.
"Crystal!" Mandy called her back.
"What's your relationship with the Boss?"
Crystal couldn't understand where the question was coming from but she was sure she had to answer. "He is my boss and employer ma'am." Crystal said in a polite manner.
"Oh! I see. Your boss. You can go."
Mandy excused the young lady. "Boss!"
Mandy said to herself, trying to get the word stuck in her head. It was quite difficult for her to comprehend the meaning of that word at the time.

"Is everything okay sir?" Stacy asked Jake who was long gone in thoughts.
"Sir!" Stacy called out again trying to get him back in reality.
Jake moved his eyes towards Stacy's direction to inform her he was as conscious of his environment as she was.
"Sorry boss!" She said apologetically when she realized the meaning of the gaze in Jake's eyes.
"See me in my office in the next ten minutes," Jake said to Stacy right before he took his leave.
"Okay, sir!" Stacy replied with her head bowed.
"Did I do something wrong?" Stacy asked the closest person to her." You should know better c'mon, you've been working with him for years. You've got more experience with him than with myself. C'mon just a tiny slip." Stacy pleaded.
Something felt strange. It was as if they wanted to say something but they couldn't let the words out. Stacy's eyes moved to the clock and then she checked her wristwatch.
"It's time for me to go." She said to herself as she left the conference room.
"You asked for me, sir," Stacy said as she stood innocently steps away from Jake's desk.
"Yh, take those and get rid of them," Jake said pointing at some documents on the center of the table. "Your job is to burn them. Every single one of them." He said again with eyes that were enough to scare a child.
"Okay, sir! I would do just that." Stacy answered. She walked to the table and then she picked up the documents and quietly shut the door behind her.
It was like giving candy to a baby, the documents.
"How was it?"Mandy asked Joey excitedly the very moment he walked into the house.
"Were you tensed?" She asked again.
Joey understood what the cause of the excitement was for. He couldn't help but be excited himself. "It was fine and I haven't tensed anymore when I started thinking about you," Joey said with excitement in his eyes as he took off his ties.
Mandy became a bit withdrawn. The sentence Joey made pulled her two steps away. She was trying to ignore the way she had felt earlier in the day and just play along with everything but Joey had to remind her.
"Are you okay?" Joey asked her noticing the sudden withdrawal in her attitude.
"Yh, yh I am," Mandy replied trying to cover everything up again. "I'm glad it all went well."
"Thanks," Joey said in a soft voice as he rolled his necktie into a ball, "Your positive feelings and attitude made everything work out fine." He said still with the same seductive voice.
"I really don't think I did anything, but if you think I did, then you're welcome!" Mandy said.
"I would be back, let me just go freshen up," Joey said as he excused himself.
Joey was already as good as gone when Mandy who had been watching him as he walked away said. "Take your time."
