"Hey! Good morning!" Holding a hot cup of coffee Mandy greeted Joey excitedly.
"Hmm someone is ecstatic!" Joey said as he walked three steps closer to her.
"Seems like you woke up on the right side of the bed today!" He said taking two more steps closer.
"What," Mandy said observing a pause.
"Are you trying to say I've been waking up on the wrong side of the bed all along!" Mandy said trying to be angry.
"Oh no no no! Don't flap your wings yet angry bed. I love the playful dog you were being seconds ago." Joey said as he moved his hands up and down trying to help her take deep breaths.
"So tell me, why so happy today?"
"Nothing! Nothing at all!" Mandy said as she took a sip from her coffee cup.
"Is that Americano I smell?" Joey asked unintentionally changing the subject.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, carry on." He said realizing he was about diverting from the topic of discussion. Mandy's unusual excitement. And the angry bird was about flapping her wings again.
"Well!" Mandy said stressing her word. "I don't know, I just feel so good today. I mean, the weather is nice, this coffee smells good." She said raising up her cup of coffee which was already gradually losing its hothess. "And yes, it’s Americano." Mandy gulped down the rest of the coffee as she could feel it getting cold. "Who knows, maybe something good is going to happen today!" She said with a smile moving her head a little to the left.
"Mandy?" Joey called out her name, more like a question. He could sense something was up.
"What?" Mandy asked back, as she walked towards the dishwasher. "Don't give me that look!"
Joey was amazed, he couldn't believe how Mandy could tell he was staring even though she didn't turn to have a look. "What look?" Joey asked quickly turning his face away.
"Anyways, just know I'm in a good mood and my positivity would engulf the entire day," Mandy said walking towards Joey now. "I'm sorry about the other day," Mandy said changing the mood.
"Nah it's fine. It's in the past already." Joey said as he walked to the coffee maker. "We have to talk though," Joey said to Mandy as he added sugar to his coffee. "What?" Joey asked noticing the look Mandy was giving him. "Haven't seen someone who adds sugar to his coffee?" Joey asked.
"Why don't you just take tea. Isn't the sour taste of coffee the reason people take it?"
"I don't know about people, because I’m not people. I know about me because l am me, and I don't make coffee for the sour taste. Wait a minute!" Joey said realizing what was going on. "Are we seriously talking about coffee right now!"
"Okay, so what are we to talk about Mr sweet coffee," Mandy said teasingly.
"So here is the thing," Joey said as he took his entire cup of coffee in a single gulp.”

"I don't have all the details yet, but there has been a constant commotion about something called a vault," Kai said to Stacy over the phone.
"A vault?" Stacy asked.
"Yh! Tiffany had brought in a tech genius the other day to break it open, I didn't find it suspicious then, but the other night I heard Mrs. Mallory talk over the phone with m someone about the vault again, and now it seems the tech guy would be coming around again to get it open."
"Hmm," Stacy said taking a pause to think."I wonder what could be in that vault. I wonder why everyone is after it."
"I don't know what the vault contains, but I do know that whatever it may be, it has to be very important," Kai said. "I think we have a name for this operation. Operation unlocks the vault.
Stacy scoffed. "That ain't so bad."
"I know right," Kai added.
"I would have to report to the boss about this. Keep me updated and posted on any development. Don't forget, you are my eyes and ears."
That everyone was trying to hide something, is a fact that could not be hidden. Kicking off from the fake smile on Jake’s face to the weird cordial hug between Mrs. Mallory and Tiffany, to the awkward laughter coming off from Tess, everything was just strange, weirdly strange.
Kai was confused, this wasn't the plan.
