LEGALLY MARRIED TO MY EX (EPISODE 58)

                                 EPISODE 58

The streets were filled with different people from different parts of the world. The different costumes helped bridge this difference in culture and made everyone come together as one.

It was impossible for squad one to locate where Jake was with his team members, at least it would have been impossible if Allen had not given Angel a tracking chip to plant on the body of the company staff whom she tripped over.

"This! Is! Large!" Ellen yelled as he saw the large mass of people gathered around. "How in the world would we have been able to track them down if Allen hadn’t come up with such a brilliant idea," Ellen said as he brushed Allen on his shoulder and brushing his hand over Allen's head.

"Stop it!" Allen said. "You are going to mess up my hair!" He added again as he tried to shuffle his hair back to how it was.

Too late!

Ellen stared at Allen's hair, he knew if Allen was to stare at a mirror right now he was going to make him have an earful. He already messed up the entire thing. "Oh yeah sure!! would stop." He said trying to make adjustments to his hair and his pure intentions seemed to only breed more bad results. "I think I would stop now!" He said as he noticed he was not making things any better.

"It's the time guys! They are on the move!" Dudu who had been watching the movements said.

"Are you ready for this?" Ford asked Ellen.

"This is the moment we've been waiting for. All of our efforts, all the resources we've exhausted, it's all for this moment. Please don't mess this up." Ford begged as he glued Ellen's forehead to his. "I trust you! I believe in you. You've got this!" Ford said patting him on the back.

Ellen was scared. Never in a million years did he imagine he would be this way. "What is this I feel?" Ellen asked himself. He stared at the faces of the people before him, all he saw were masked-up faces, but regardless he could see their lips spread, he knew

they were smiling and he could see their eyes shine, it meant they were confident he could do this. "You have to believe in yourself, Ellen!" He said to himself.

"I can do this!" He said, this time out loud. He turned to Angel. "Are you ready?" He asked her.

"I was born ready!" Angel replied with a smile.

"Let's go own the stage!" Ellen said again.

Before this moment, Ellen already had an in-depth discussion with Ford as they had both come together to finalize the contract draft. Ellen had told Ford all he felt the contract was to contain and Ford had implemented all the suggestions Ellen pitched in. Ellen was more like a pitcher in this mental game of contract drafting.

"What could she possibly want again by this time?" Tiffany cried out the moment she heard Mrs. Mallory screaming downstairs.

She scrambled over to the other side of the bed to get a hold of her phone. "What!" She screamed when she saw what the time was.

"It's almost eleven midnight. What could this old had possibly wanted from me again!" Tiffany moaned.

"Tiffany! Tiffany!" Mrs... Mallory shouted.

Tiffany wondered what exactly could have chased the lion out from the wild.

"Yes, here I am. Could you stop screaming my name already?"

"You were sleeping?" Mrs... Mallory said sounding shocked.

"What was I supposed to be doing? Do you even know what the time is at all? I didn't want to ask you this though, but, what exactly are you still doing up, are you a witch by any chance? Oh my!" Tiffany screamed as she covered her mouth with her hands.

"Wow! Wow! Just, wow!" Mrs.. Mallory clapped, amazed by Tiffany's reaction to the situation. "How can you be this calm, undisturbed and so relaxed. I can't believe you are still able to sleep while your supposed beloved husband is battling with his life right now."

Tiffany was shocked. This wasnt something she had thought about at all. "What do you mean?" She asked, refusing to believe what she just heard. "You can't be serious about what you just said. No no no! I refuse to believe you!" Tiffany said laughing hysterically, obviously, her laughter was coming from a place of pain.

"I just received a phone call from one of the team members." Mrs. Mallory said.

"They couldn't get in touch with you because Jake's phone was locked. They could call me because they had my number.

"That's not true. That's not true!" Tiffany cried. She quickly ran upstairs and then picked up her phone to dial Jake's number. It kept ringing but no one was responding. "But I just spoke with him not too long ago. How could this possibly happen? No, if Jake doesn't call me himself, I am not going to believe any of this." Mandy said showing defiance as she ran back downstairs.

There was a trace of fear in Mrs. Mallory's face as Mandy ran down, the moment she heard her still doubt, she realized she was still in line with the whole event going on. It was almost like all of this was just a scheme.

The night is indeed long.

"Hello!" Mrs.. Mallory said as she picked up the call which came in.

"Okay...okay...thank you so much. I really appreciate it." She said as she hung up ơn the call.

While she was on the call, Tiffany was fully concentrated eagerly to know what it was about.

"The staff who called me to inform me about the incident just called again. He said they just arrived at the hospital, but Jake was still in a critical condition.

I overheard the doctor saying it was a fifty-fifty case. So, just be prepared for the worse scenario." Mrs. Mallory broke the news without an ounce of sadness.

One would wonder if it was her child she just spoke of.

"You are indeed really not Jake's mother!" Tiffany said in a very low tone as she stood up from the stairs where she sat.

"What did you say?" Mrs. Mallory asked trying to hear her clearly.

"If you didn't hear me then don't bother." She said as she turned her back.

"Where are you going? Aren't you going to run to South Korea to see your husband!"

"South Korea!" Tiffany screamed in her head. "How did this old hag get to know." She wondered, still within her.

She didn't remember Jake telling her he had informed his mom about the location for the company's trip."My husband is fine." Tiffany said with all certainty. "I don't know who it is they keep telling you is in a critical condition, but whomever it is, I wish him safe recovery, but I am sure, that that isn't my Jay!" Tiffany said as she walked back into her room.

She paused as she got to the last stair where Mrs. Mallory could still have a glimpse of her and then she turned, just a little to her left side, and then she gave off a smile before she walked away completely.

"I knew it!" Mrs. Mallory screamed. "I always knew your love for Jake was fake, I knew you didn't really care for him that much!" Mrs. Mallory kept on screaming. "This is bad! I never prepared for a backup plan if should In case, Tiffany refuses to buy my lie. When would I ever get the opportunity to open the vault again." Mrs. Mallory said biting her fingers. "Oh, how I despise that skinny whore!" Mrs. Mallory exclaimed as she walked back to the penthouse angrily.

"You must really take me for a fool huh!" Tiffany said to Mrs. Mallory who was already at the penthouse. Just before Tiffany came down, Jake had sent her a text telling her he was in the middle of a business meeting. That was when she realized it was a scheme.

"What exactly could be the motive behind this drama this old hag just pulled off tonight. It obviously wasn't just to spite me, she wouldn't joke around with her own son's death, even if she wasn't his actual mother. What exactly could the reason for this be?" Tiffany asked herself times and times again.

"We would have to abort tonight's mission. Things went South. That brat isn't as dumb as I thought she was. Call the tech team and tell them to abort the mission." Mrs. Mallory said to Tess over the phone.

Jake sent a signal to his team members who were seated with him, and the to-be investors. "It's all good sir." He said after receiving a confirmation signal from his contract advisor. " We would agree to your terms and conditions, if you agree with ours too, then we would sign the contract," Jake

said.

"Yes! Yes! That's what l'm talking about!" Joey screamed as he listened to the contract conversation. Allen had connected him to the discussion. "It won't be long now Jake Mallory. It won't be long!" Joey exclaimed excitedly.
