LEGALLY MARRIED TO MY EX(EPISODE 51)

                             EPISODE 51

Jake was calm now. His tensed up nerves were more relaxed now. Tiffany walked into the room and headed Jake some rap of tissue she had gotten from the toilet to wipe off his running nose.

"Here you go." She said as she passed it to him.

"Thank you babe." Jake said sniffing his nose as he stretched his hand to receive the peace offering. "I want apple juice." Jake said to Tiffany with puppy eyes while he was still wiping his nose.

"Oh you this big baby of mine!" Tiffany said tweaking his cheeks.

"Ouch!" Jake screamed from the pain.

"What would you ever do without me? Huh!" She asked with a smile.

"Nothing ma'am. I'm am absolutely nothing without you." Jake said with a cute face.

"You know I can't say no to that face. Don't you!" Tiffany said as she released her grip on his face. "I would be right back."

"I want it chilled too!" Jake screamed to Tiffany who was already at the door by now.

"You would come get it yourself right yh if you make any additional request, young man!" Tiffany screamed back at him.

"I'm sorry ma'am! | would gladly take at whatever temperature you bring it!" Jake screamed right back again. "I just love her." Jake said to himself with a sheepish smile.

"You would still tell me about that night though!" Tiffany screamed even louder as she walked farther away.

#################

“Legion,” That was the name the group called themselves. They had never gathered like this before, it was the first time they would ever get to meet each other, well, partially, because everyone was putting on a mask, except Joey and Mandy. Legion had one rule, no two member must ever know each other.

Right now, Mandy wasn't considered a member, she was second in command after Joey. The most powerful weapon the group had.

The reason for this identity secret is to protect the privacy of every member.

This group would be dismantled immediately the goal is actualized, so everyone could go back to their normal life without attachment.

Just as he told Mandy when she signed the contract: you shouldn't fall in love with your comrade. That was another reason for the blindfold.

"It's tíme!" Joey said again.

That was his way of asking them for their introduction. Whenever they met with him personally, they could be without the blindfold, and "it's time" was something he always said to them.

Everyone had a unique role to play, in the revenge game, because that was what it was : a game. Joey didn't just go about picking people up randomly, he handpicked his team members. Some of them had a grudge on the Mallory's, maybe a personal experience or a pain experienced by a family member.

Others decided to join Joey in his fight after hearing his story because they had had similar experiences in the hands of other people but were unable to fight back.

Despite their seemingly different reasons, they all still had one thing in common, they were tired of the wealthy trampling on the poor.

Some already had the skills perfect for the role Joey needed them to play, while for the one who slacked, Joey trained.

They took turns to introduce their code name and their role alone, no further information were given, so no one could track the other. Even for their voices, a voice manipulating device was positioned close to their mouth.

There was no way anyone could trace the other.

"Dudu, the IT guy."

"Ellen, contract initiator."

"Ford, the investor."

"Stacy, the conflict ignitor."

"Ava, the manipulator."

"Josh, the peace maker."

"Allen, the tech wizard."

"Orange, the spy form afar.”

"Kai, the residence spy."

"Crazy, the plan maker."

"Peekaboo, the navigator."

"Angel, the law maker."

"Mandy, the key holder."

"Joey, the master planer."

After the introduction, Joey stood up from his seat and then he walked out directly into his study. He wanted to get some files.

"Ava, I hear you are making progress.”

Joey said as he walked into the conference room with some files in his hand. "Would you love to fill us all in on that."

"Ava, the manipulator." Ava said as she stood up to give her analysis. "If everyone was born with a superpower then mine would be manipulating. So, I've been following up Tess, ever since l received a call from the master planer. With a little assistance from Ford and Ellen, I was able to come up with a feasible plan on how to get her into a dip. Ford helped me with the plan, while Ellen helped me draft out the contract. After which I made my move, l disguised myself as an investor, and then I convinced pretty miss Tess into investing millions, in a non-existent company, which she did obviously. So, I'm pretty sure she's swimming in her pool of tears wherever she is, because she should have figured it by now that she was scammed." Ava said with a chuckle.

"Oh wow!" Joey complimented. "And the money?" He asked.

"It's in the revenge account boss." Ava said. Immediately beeping noises sounded. The credit alert just got into the account.

"Delivered boss." Ava said as she made a frightful giggle.

"Received!" Joey said.

Ava took her seat. Everywhere was calm for a while as Joey shuffled through the files in front of him.

"Dudu! Ellen! Ford! Allen and Angel! It's time for you to put your skills to test. " Joey said as he placed a file in front of them. "Stacy! I would need you to work with Kai." He said placing something that wasn't quite clear in front of them. "Peekaboo! You would be working with Mandy." He placed a map before them. "Josh you would be working with Orange." He said placing their own items before them. "Ava, you would be working on your own." He said to her as he placed her own documents before her. "Crazy! You would be working with every group." He said as he placed all the items he had placed before every group. "But most importantly Crazy, you would be working with me." Joey walked back to his seat after dispersing the necessary documents to whom it mattered. "I guess that's everybody." Joey said as he took his seat. "So for clarity, I would be calling out the sub groups and members again. Group one : Dudu, Ellen, Ford, Allen, Angel. Group two: Stacy, Kai.

Group three: Peekaboo, Mandy. Group four: Josh, Orange. Group five: Ava.

Group six : Crazy, Joey."

Joey walked over to where Mandy was and then he excused her form the conference room.

"Look, no matter what happens, I don't want to say anything to Peekaboo. You are only working with him for navigation purposes." His eyes moved down towards Mandy's stomach. "You would have to do a lot of moving around. Can you handle it?" He asked her with worry in his eyes.

"You are doing so much for me without asking me for anything. The least I can do is handle a little inconvenience." Mandy said with a smile.

There it went again, that sharp pain. Mandy tried her best to hold it in, making any slight noise of inconvenience would definitely lead to Joey asking her to drop out from the whole plan, if she was going to receive free help, she should at least chip in a little contribution, that way she could ease her feeling of indebtedness. The pain wrapped her even tighter, and it was more painful than she ever felt. "I.... can handle it." Mandy said faking a smile.

Joey wasn't convinced by her response, he knew she was just trying to act like she would be fine, but he decided to just play along. Mandy had once told him about how she hated feeling indebted to people. "Okay, if you say so. Let's go back inside." Joey said as he opened the door for her to go in.

"Alright! It's deliberation time." Joey said as he walked back to his seat. "After your deliberation, you are to report back to me. Everything you need to know about your mission, the objective, date and purpose, it's all contained in your file."

"Okay Boss!" They all replied in unison.

"So I think someone should read out our mission brief." Angel the only female in the group suggested.

"How about you do that. I mean, since you brought it up." Allen said.

"Fine with me then." Angel replied as she teared up her file.

" Squad: Squad one. Mission: This squad is to come up with an investment plan, strategy and business idea. This squad is to lure Jake into believing in a non-existent company, they are to make him invest as much money as he can into this company, and without leaving any trace they are to carry-out this mission swiftly. The members of this squad are to delegate responsibilities to each other.

Goodluck and success! Adios!"

"I guess we are going first." Ellen said as he opened up his own file.

"So what do we do guys?" Angel asked.

"I think first off, we have to draft out our contract and what exactly the investment is going to be for." Ford pitched in.

"Jake isn't any small fish. His tech team are an elite Squad." Allen said as he rotates his pen in the air. " But I ain't no. small fish either, and I ain't an elite Squad, I am the elite creator."

Allen was someone whose confidence always intimidated those around him, he was good at what he did. "There is no way he would be able to track our company."

"I would get ready to settle the legal terms and conditions." Angel said.

"I would take care of our graphical interface, it is going to look so legit you can't help but fall for it." Dudu said.

"Well, seems like everyone is already stating their contribution." Ford said. "I am going to bring in irresistible investment offer to the table." He added.

"Alright then, bring your ideas to my table, while I draft out the contract. My fingers are itching already." Ellen said cracking his phalanges.

"Let's get right to work squad one!" Angel said. "But first let's do a squad cheer.

"Squad one! Contract! Investment! “

“Leave no trace behind!" They all screamed in unison and then they went right into work.
