LEGALLY MARRIED TO MY EX (EPISODE 42)

                                EPISODE 42

"Let me explain." Joey said walking closer to Mandy as he stretched his hand trying to rub over her head buried between her knees.

"I was stupid for ever believing fate existed. I mean even if it does exist what ever made me think I was going to have a rosy one." Mandy said between her sobbing.

Joey stopped halfway and then he withdrew his hand and forced it into his pocket.

"We would talk when you feel a bit better." Joey said housing sadness in his heart. He already built a bond with Mandy at least that was how he felt.

"I don't think we would ever get to talk then, because I don't think I would ever feel better." Mandy said still sobbing.

Mandy made it hard to believe that her only reason for being this broken is because Joey told her he got to meet her by chance.

###FLASHBACK#####

"Hey Joey I..." Mandy said, stopping her sentence midway as she walked into Joey's study about to share an information that seemed like a good one judging by the smile on her face as she called his name. "I never knew Joey could smile this widely." Mandy said in a low voice as she watched Joey display his shinning white molars and premolars while talking with a pretty lady who emitted beauty and joy, with every smile she makes. "Anyway, why do I care." She said as she turned to take her leave. "Wait! Is that Kai I see?" Mandy said shocked.

"So what if she gets to know that your first meeting with her was planned and arranged. What are you going to tell Mandy then? Huh! What are we to do then?" Kai asked Joey agitatedly.

"Shhhh! Lower your voice, she might hear you." Joey said shutting Kai."

Too late though, Mandy was already getting in on the conversation.

"Look!" Kai continued. "I may lie to everyone else but the one person I can never lie to is myself. You didn't meet Mandy because you were a philanthropist who helps those in need, you know the only reason you are doing this is to use her. She is the biggest card you have in your revenge plan." Kai added.

"What does it matter what the reason was. The end result is that l'm also trying to help her out." Joey said trying to oppose Kai's argument.

"You never should have lied to her about your first encounter with her and how you both became entangled. You never should have. That's my only place of concern, because the moment she learns of this, trust me, she would never trust us again." Kai said and then she turned to take her leave.

"Miss Mandy!" Kai said when she saw Mandy who had pain in her eyes as she rested her head on the side of the door.

"Ma'am! It's not what it sounded like." She said again trying to clear the misunderstandings she once feared happening.

Joey rushed outside to confirm if truly Mandy was there and when he did, he lost his balance the moment he saw tear drops in Mandy's eyes.
