LEGALLY MARRIED TO MY EX (EPISODE 32)

                                EPISODE 32

Who would have thought, that Mandy Mallory, would end up being an investigative journalist?

Looking at the arrows connecting people and situations together, Mandy wondered who NAMELESS would be.

The week before Mandy had silently followed Mrs. Mallory to the grocery store taking notes of everything she said and everyone she greeted, but nothing was pointing at her being

NAMELESS.

"Wait a minute!" Mandy exclaimed to herself as her eyes laid on something that seemed like a clue.

"How have I not been seeing this! This is good news, l am getting closer." Mandy was elated.

"Oh, Jake! You thought you were smart huh...well two can play this game." Mandy said with a smile and then she closed up her sketchbook of suspects.

"Why are you all dressed up?" Jake asked Mandy who looked stunning in her all-white dress.

"I want to go with you to the company today. If the offer from before still stands, that is."

"Oh, okay! This is sudden but I can work my way around it. Anything for you My Mandy." Jake said.

Jake had no idea what was going on in Mandy's head, but it didn't matter to him at the moment, he was just excited feeling Mandy was finally coming around.

"Uh..hmmm..." Mandy kept making weird noises just as she was about to get into the car. She felt like throwing up. "What's happening?" Mandy asked Jake like he had some magical powers that make him know what was happening to people.

"How would I know?" Jake asked back. "I should be asking you!" He added.

"I don't feel too well. I don't...I don't think I can go with you today...maybe...maybe some...maybe some other day." Mandy rushed back into the house one hand pressed on

her lips and the other squeezing her stomach.

She rushed into the toilet just at the end of the living room, she couldn't hold it till she got to her room. She kept vomiting, non-stop. Mandy was scared and hoped it wasn't what she thought.

Jake stayed in the car contemplating going to the office or staying back to figure out what was going on. He knew if he stayed back the company won't be like it is supposed to be because everyone would be nonchalant towards their duty, but staying back would also help him get on Mandy's good side because then he would be able to convince her that his intentions towards her were genuine.

"I could say something like You are more important to me than any business deal." Jake smiled at his punch line, looking at himself from the side mirror. "Even though I have nothing serious to do at the office tomorrow."

But going to the office also means getting everyone to works as they ought to and possibly bagging some nice deals, and also losing on my chance to get on Mandy's good side.

He weighed his options and then he made his decision.

"Yes! Who is that?" Mandy asked the person knocking on the door.

"Oh sorry ma'am, it's me, ma'am, Kai!" Kai responded. "I heard noises coming from here, so I decided to come to find out if everything was okay."

"Everything is fine. You can go." Mandy said back trying not to break between her words.

"Ma'am, are you sure? I am really worried! Should I call the doctor?"

"Don't worry I would take it from here," Jake said as he tapped Kai on her shoulder and signaled her to leave.

"Jake!" Mandy exclaimed to herself."Oh, why is he here! He should have just gone."

"Are you okay? Do you need anything?"

Jake asked.

"Go away! You are the last person I want to see right now." Mandy cried out.

Jake knew what was going on, it was a sad thing for Mandy but for Jake, it was more than a piece of great news. "Okay if you say so. I would see you when I get back." Jake walked away smiling.

"Where are we going to ma'am," Jonas asked Mandy as she entered the car.

"Drive me to my favorite place," Mandy said.

—-where could Mandy be going?—-

Mandy sat at her favorite corner, watching people come in and go. She didn't want to think about her predicament, anything to make her escape from her reality. Mandy's reality is a nightmare people pray to wake up from, but for her, it was something she had to live with because tells me how to do one escape from one's own reality.

"We meet again!" Joey said as he takes the seat opposite her.

Mandy raised her eyes, looked at the person before her, and then looked away again.
