LEGALLY MARRIED TO MY EX (EPISODE 30)

                              EPISODE 30

The windows rattled against each other, making squeaky noises. The soft wind blew in gently on Jake's face which was faced towards the direction of the east. Jake blocked the sun rays with the back of his palm as he opened his eyes slowly, he looked at the beauty resting worry-free on his bare chest, and then a smile brushed past his face.

He tucked her thick brown hair behind her ears as he planted a kiss on her forehead.

Mandy felt his eyes staring at her and this prompted her into wanting to open her eyes, and his kisses all over her face had also aided in bringing her back to her consciousness. The

reaction Jake had when he saw her, was the total opposite of the reaction Mandy made.

This only goes to show that this scene was a one-man act.

"Again! It happened again! Just how wonderful!" Mandy said with a teary smile.

Mandy was dumbfounded, having nothing to say, she was numb, feeling nothing either. How she got here and why Jake was next to her are questions she couldn't find answers to.

"What's wrong?" Jake asked her feigning ignorance.

Mandy looked at Jake scanning his face to figure out his true emotions, she had a hint he was being pretentious.

"What's wrong? Seriously! Are you asking me that?" Mandy retorted in a fury. "Everything is wrong Jake can't you see that! You being next to me is the true definition of what wrong should mean."

Jake turned his face away, he figured out what she was trying to do. "I don't see anything wrong about waking up next to my wife." This was the first time Jake ever referred to Mandy as his wife after the forced marriage.

"Wife!" Mandy repeated with a sarcastic tone. "Oh please stop it, Jake! I am not your wife and neither are you, my husband. We are just two people who had to sign some papers because we made a mistake of having a

one-night stand, so don't use that word with me. I can never be your wife."

Mandy stood up from the bed not wanting to hear whatever Jake might still have to say and she stormed out from the room.

"You can run all you want to Mandy, but you definitely can't hide." Wearing a smile Jake had said.

Jake laid back on his king-size bed and wrapped his luxury white duvet around his body. It was a cold morning.

The night was cold, even more than it had been in the morning. Ever since Mandy left Jake's room, she had locked herself up in hers.

Mandy was a stubborn human. She was always blunt with how things were, never mincing words or trying to be nice, she wasn't someone who would fake how she feels. The Mallory's residence took that side of her away

but it seemed like the incident was bringing it back.

"Mandy! Mandy! Mandy Hun! Would you lock yourself up in here forever?" Jake asked knocking on the door.

"If that is the only way for me to avoid seeing your face, then, yes! I would be in here forever!" Mandy had responded.

At that moment Mandy received a text message again from the same unknown number that had been sending her messages previously.

"Why is everything happening again today? Am I not even allowed to be happy even for a short while?" Mandy was almost in tears.

"Did you say something?" Jake asked as he heard some murmuring.

"Jake Mallory, I guess no one had ever told you this, but I will. You are one of the dumbest individuals existing right now in the world."

"Keeping running in circles Mandy, you would come around in the end," Jake said wearing that strange smile again.

"I GAVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY OF FIGURING OUT WHAT HAPPENED AT THE PARTY BUT YOU IGNORED ME AND NOW YOU'VE WATCHED IT HAPPEN TO YOU AGAIN. I DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR YOU BUT FOR THE LITTLE HUMAN WHO WOULD GROW IN YOU."

Mandy shuddered, feeling both afraid and shocked as she read the message.

She never bothered calling the number back because she thought it was Tess, who had been sending the message.

After Mrs. Mallory was forced to say everything she felt everything has been revealed.

"Is there more to this?"

There was something strange about all

of this, but Mandy just couldn't put a finger on it.

"Hmm... whoever this nameless is, it is obvious he or she is aware that something happened again but how?"

Mandy paced around the room, rubbing her earlobes. "Little human growing in me!" Mandy stood before her human-sized mirror and then she moved her hand softly across her stomach. "Is this what I think it is?" She asked herself. "But wait... why do I feel like this person is close by," Mandy said finally having a clue to start off her investigation with.
