EPISODE 28
The keys in Mandy's pocket floated in the air as it was about to reach the floor. Mandy quickly saved it with her hands just a few inches before it would touch the floor.
In a bid to save the key to prevent it from making dangling sounds on the floor, Mandy had made some unintentional bodily movements that resulted in sound.
"I would have to end the voicemail here Tiff. I think someone is at the door." Jake said as he walked towards the door.
His sense of sound was very sharp, if not, there was no way one would have heard such minimal noise.
"Oh no! What do I do?" Mandy asked herself.
Quietly, Mandy tiptoed away from the door. She was a light Walker and that had saved her at this point.
Jake opened the door and he looked keenly at every corner close by, but he didn't see anyone, making him even more suspicious of the noise he had heard.
"Now this is strange!" He exclaimed softly.

"Who is the smoothie for?" Jake asked
Kali who was getting breakfast ready.
"It's for ma'am Mandy Boss sir." Kai had fearfully replied.
"Is she back?" Jake asked.

"Yes, sir she returned a few minutes ago. Excuse me sir if there is no other thing, I would be going now." Kai said as she excused herself from the kitchen.
"Could that have been Mandy?" Jake questioned himself. "Nah! Nah! It can't be." He said with an assuring smile.
Ever since Mandy moved into the house, she had never crossed the path to his room, because she had no reason to.
"Mandy!" Jake cried out as he held her back from walking away. "It's been more than a week now, C'mon! Is it that hard to forgive me?" Jake pleaded.
Mandy shuddered in fear as Jake held on to her but she hid her fears. " Can you please let go of my arm?" Mandy politely requested.
"Honestly, I don't even know what it is that I've done wrong," Jake said still pleading. He noticed the look in Mandy's eyes and realized she was serious in her request for him to let her go and he did. "Tell me what I did wrong so I would know how best I'm supposed to apologize because it is obvious that I am no asking for forgiveness the way I should. If you still don't want to tell me about the wrong I had done, fine! Don't tell me! I'm still sorry regardless. Mandy c'mon!" Jake was desperate.
One sure thing was that time was no longer on Jake's side. The longer it took for Mandy to soften up to him, the more they lose Intel on Joey, giving him an upper hand over them, and more time to carry out his plan smoothly.
"As you said, Jake, you have done absolutely nothing wrong, the more reason I don't know what you want me to forgive you for. So just stop."
"Then why don't you talk to me? Then why do you ignore me? Why all of this hostility? Why Mandy?" Jake cried.
"We were always like this Jake. We had always lived this way, so I don't understand why it bothers you now. Why are you so desperate for my attention? Why do you crave my time so bad? I am not used to this and I certainly don't want it. I am perfectly fine and I already got comfortable with the way we used to live, let's just continue in that light please."
Jake didn't know what to say. He knew Mandy had these questions in head all along but he never knew the day would come when she would vocally voice it out.
She is definitely learning to stand up for herself and Jake questioned within him if Joey has a hand in this.
"Just let's be how we've always been," Mandy said tired of the back and forth discussion.

"What are you doing here?" Jake asked Tiffany who had walked into his office.
"I haven't heard from you in days. I got worried about you babe! Is that bad?" Tiffany said as she took steps closer to sake's desk.
"You can't be here! You have to leave!" Jake said to Tiffany who showed defiance. "Tiff!" Jake called her softly. "I know you care about me and I appreciate it. Trust me l am doing this for us so that we can be together everywhere and anywhere so that we won't have to hide or care about what people say."
"Do you care about what people say now?" Tiffany asked. "Are you ashamed to walk with me in public? Do you hide when you are with me?" Tiffany asked feeling bad.
"No! No! Babe see..." Jake moved closer to her and drew her close to him.
