LEGALLY MARRIED TO MY EX (EPISODE 27)

                                EPISODE 27

"Weird name right?" The elderly pharmacist asked Mandy who was staring at the outside world from the see-through glass door of the

pharmacy while she leaned on the counter.

"Oh, no! I guess there is a reason why you chose the name. I won't call it weird, erm...Mandy said placing her hand under her chin like she was thinking of something...UNIQUE, yeah that's the word I would call it unique."

Mandy had a friendly personality, she had a way of making people feel comfortable and at ease when they are around her.

"Thanks. You're the first person to say that." The man said with a friendly gaze.

"There is one thing I find strange though, hearing that an elderly man like you still watches Kdramas.

The man laughed, but not too loud.

"Well actually, it's not me who came up with the name, and I don't watch dramas either, it's my daughter. You see...the look on his face changed into a sad one...the last words my daughter heard her mom say to her was *hello*. She had called her mom while she was driving to break the exciting news of her becoming a certified pharmacist, and the network wasn't strong, so why she broke the news, my wife kept saying *hello* unable to hear what she was saying and the next thing my daughter heard over the phone was  a crash. So ever since she blamed herself for what had happened so she asked me to change the name of the pharmacy." He wiped off a tiny teardrop that was about to fall off from his eyes.

"So why did she use a Korean title?" Mandy asked.

The old man sniffed. "She wanted to incorporate the two things she loved the most, her mother and drama, and also because the one person she talked about dramas with was her mother, my wife. She was her drama gist partner."

"Don't you think that would constantly remind her of the pain?" Mandy asked with a concerned look.

"Honestly I really don't know. I just feel it's her own way of dealing with death." He said trying to brighten up his face as he heard his daughter walking towards them.

"Wow! Accept my condolences." Mandy said. "You guys are done!" Mandy asked Joey.

"Oh yeah, we are. Let's go." He said to Mandy.

"Goodbye, sir... He looked at the pretty lady and then he wore a shy smile...bye Amanda."

"Goodbye, Joey," Amanda said with a smile as she waved them goodbye.

"They are nice people!" The old man said.

"Yh, they are!" Amanda replied as she held her dad around his hand.

"So I guess it's goodbye from here," Mandy said to Joey as they stood by the intercession.

"You sure about that. You sure you're ready to go back" Joey asked.

"Yh, I am. I just wanted some time away from the house and I have spent enough already. I'm sorry about the... she pointed at his head...the swell."

"Nah it's fine."

"So you got her number right?" Mandy asked teasingly.

"Maybe," Joey replied with a flirty smile and then he waved Mandy goodbye as he crossed over to the other side.

Jake already used the restroom twice, and he was going in for the third time.

His nerves were so uneasy that it kept awakening his sense organs.

"I have to call Tiffany!" Jake exclaimed.

He tried reaching her but the call was diverted to a voicemail.

"Hello, Tiff... it's bad, very bad. He is back, Joey, I saw him today. Honestly, Tiff, I am scared, I don't know what to do. What if... what if...Jake was biting his fingers... what if the past resurfaces. There is more Tiff, I think Mandy knows about this, I saw the two of them together and I think they are close. We need Mandy even more now than ever. need to get her intoxicated with love for me, so she would tell me all I need to know. I need to find out why Joey returned through her. We have to move the plan up four times. We have to be quick about this. No one must know about what happened. We have to bury the past where it belongs, in the past. Mandy is our ticket now, I think you would have to stay away longer than planned. Call me when you get this."

Jake ended the call.

Mandy held her mouth tightly with her hands. She had come to talk with Jake feeling bad for how she had left, and that’s how she got to hear all of this.

Nothing made any sense to her, she wondered if it was really the same Joey she was with. A lot of questions flowed in her head.

What exactly happened in the past?
