EPISODE 15
The look on his face showed he wasn't surprised, it was almost like he knew he was going to bump into her.
"Why are you here?" Mandy asked with a shocking look on her face. "What do you want?" She added.
"Erm... first, slow down on the questions pretty miss Russia, secondly I'm not answering any of those. Bye."
Mandy still couldn't understand what he was doing at the Mallory's. She turned still holding the pile of clothes in her hands to take a proper look at him as if looking was going to provide answers.
She wondered what the guy she had tripped with her bag at the ice cream cafe was doing at her place.
"Oh hey, Joe!" Mrs. Mallory had called out to him. "Come drive me to..." She stopped halfway through her statement when she saw that Mandy was still around. "You are still here!" She screamed at Mandy. "I don't know
how you are going to do it but I need those clothes back before tomorrow," She added.
Mandy walked out of the penthouse as swiftly as she could. She doesn't want any more of the Mallory's drama.
"Take me to the office (Joe wasn't paying attention) Joe! (Mrs. Mallory yelled) I said take me to the office."
"Oh yes, ma'am! I'm so sorry ma'am." He said opening the door.
"It's too late for the apology. You already left a bad impression," Mrs. Mallory said as she entered the car.

"Add these to the pile," Tiffany said as she threw in her clothes to the ones Mandy was washing.
"Please take them back," Mandy politely requested.
"And if I don't?" Tiffany said asking for a fight. It was obvious she enjoyed the arguments, it was entertaining to her.
Mandy stood up, hand-picked Tiffany's clothes, and was walking up the stairs with them.
"what do you think you're doing?" Tiffany said pulling Mandy back.
Mandy said nothing. She freed herself from Tiffany's grip and kept going.
"Are you deaf?" Tiffany asked angrily pulling Mandy back even harder this time. "I'm talking to you!" She yelled still dragging Mandy.
"Ouch!" Mandy shouted. She had sprained an ankle. "I don't want to fight with you Tiffany. Why is so difficult for you to just see me and ignore me? Can't you just act like I'm dead or non - existent?" Mandy pleaded. "When did it get this bad Tiff? How did we go this sour? When did we grow this distant?" Mandy wailed.
She placed the clothes back into Tiffany's arms and then limped down the stairs.
After some minutes, she was done with the laundry and then she went to sundry them.
The sprain on her ankle was getting worse and the pain was becoming even more. For someone with a sprained ankle, she wasn't supposed to do anything that would require her to walk about a lot.
"Oh my!" Mandy screamed but faintly as she was about to fall on her back because she missed a step.
She closed her eyes really tight, already waiting for the immense pain she expected to come with the fall. She opened her mouth hoping to scream out in pain, but she wasn't feeling any pain so she opened her eyes slowly.
She still couldn't understand what was happening. She felt a short flat surface, with a protruding line running from the beginning to the end of the surface.
That wasn't the floor. That definitely didn't feel like the floor. Mandy turned to know what she was resting on.
"Oh my Goodness! I'm so sorry," She said realizing she was resting on Joe's back. She stood back up as quickly as she could, she felt really bad." Thank you... though," Mandy said shyly.
"No worries. It's fine," Joe said as he dusted his hands. "I was passing by and then, I was watching you, I knew you were going to trip, noticing how you were trying to fling out the waters in the cloth, that was just so the wrong way to do it. So long story made short, I
rushed over when you were about to fall." Joe said now dusting his knees.
He had to be in a crawling position to save her.
"You know you could have used your hands right? Why did you choose to use your back? What if something happened to your spinal cord?" Mandy asked feeling concerned.
"Its fine," Joe said with a chuckle. "I don't really have strong hands, but my back is," He stretched his back to show her how strong his back truly was.
"Okay, you can stop showing off now," Mandy said with a smile. "I get it, you have a strong back."
They both laughed.
"Thanks again, really," It wasn't just because it was Joe, Mandy was always this way, very appreciative and she always felt indebted to people she felt grateful to."
"Oh wow, so we are now into the staff!" Tiffany said clapping her hands as she came to the garden.
It was clear she only came for trouble. Ever since Tiffany got into a relationship with Jake, she had never visited the garden; she never even knew there was one. She had the staff around, where they usually air-dry the laundry and they had directed her. She came to piss Mandy off, and luckily for her, she found something to piss her about.
"You left the house, to come flirt with your staff lover right? Oh c'mon Mandy, have you no shame? Tell me! Are you that desperate?"
Mandy was already done with the laundry, so she left. She couldn't stand the embarrassment.
"Hey! come back here!" Tiffany called out to Joe who also left after Mandy.
"Are you new? (She asked with an angry gaze.) Because you have to be, to not know who l am."
"Yes ma'am. I am." Joe replied.
"I thought as much. I would forgive you for your disrespect because it's obviously out of ignorance. l am Tiffany; your boss-to-be. What is your name?"
"It's... (He paused for a while before he answered.) Joe, ma'am... Joe."
"Okay, Joe. You can go now."
Mandy didn't think too much as to how Joe got to know where the garden was.
It wasn't a place the staff passed by so often, because they had no business there. A lot of them didn't even know where it was, they just know there is a garden. She didn't know Joe was new, she just felt he was one of the few staff who knew where the garden was and so didn't put much thought into it.
"Mandy! Mandy! Mandy! Wow!" Tiffany said, bringing her trouble back into the house. "How come I never saw this side of you? All these years I thought I knew you. You could win an Oscar girl." Mandy said clapping her hands.
"I don't have the energy for this Tiffany. If you want to stay here, just let me know, I would gladly go back upstairs, so you could have the living room all to yourself and practice your soliloquy more."
Mandy stood up and then walked straight into the kitchen. A few seconds later, she came back out with a glass cup. She wanted some apple juice from the fridge.
"Oh no, you're not!" Tiffany said walking over to Mandy and then she struggled with the glass already having some apple juice in it.
"You're never going to eat nor drink anything made from this house, if you are ever going to, they you would have to do that when I'm not watching." They both struggled with it until it fell to the ground, and then it broke.
A staff had come out after hearing the sound, she quickly went back in to get a cleaner, but Tiffany forbade her to clean it up and sent her back inside.
She forced Mandy to clean it up herself.
Mandy didn't see that as an issue, it was a mess she partly caused after all.
She bent down to pick them up and then Tiffany pushed her, causing her to have a cut from the broken pieces.
There was an overspill of blood. Just then, Jake's car honked outside the gate. Tiffany thought of what to do in that situation and then she rubbed Mandy's blood all over her hands.
"Babe!" Tiffany cried out running towards Jake as he walked in.
"What's going on?" Jake asked confused.
"I saw Mandy flirting around with a male staff in the garden, and then when she came in I tried confronting her about it, because, I mean, that is an insult to you. All of a sudden, she just went into the kitchen, brought a glass and shattered it on the floor, then she bullied me into picking it up myself and then... and then... (She said faking tears)... I cut myself!" Now the cry was louder.
Mandy just looked at Tiffany in disbelief. She still couldn't understand how Tiffany was always able to come up with these lies and say them as smoothly as possible. She was always like that even when they were still friends.
"What!" Jake screamed out in anger.
"Who is this staff you are talking about?" He asked his crying mistress.
That wasn't the reaction she was expecting from Jake, she didn't expect him to be interested in the part about the staff, she thought he would just pounce on Mandy immediately.
'"His name is Joe, he works in the penthouse for your mom," Tiffany said.
"Did you just say, Joe?" Jake asked. The name rang a bell. Old memories came back to life, for the first time in a long while, Jake was scared.
Afraid his past had come to hunt him.
