LEGALLY MARRIED TO MY EX(EPISODE 14)

                                  EPISODE 14

It was two weeks ever since Tiffany moved into the Mallory's home, and it had been a two weeks of hell on Earth for Mandy. There was nothing Mandy did that was right in the sight of Tiffany, and she had the support of the king of the castle, Jake, and so Mandy couldn't say much in standing against them. It won't be long now before Mandy be regarded as one of the house staffs.

"Where are you going?" Jake asked Mandy in an unclear voice. He was tipsy.

There had been a company dinner with just the executives and members of staff, Jake had taken a lot of alcohol to help him avoid seeing the sight of Mandy, but no matter how hard the chicken hides, the hawk would always find it.

"You are drunk Jake, just go to bed." Mandy replied.

Mandy had helped him climb the stairs.

She couldn't leave him all smelly so she helped him change his clothes into something more comfortable.

"I want you! I want you with me tonight." Jake said as he held her hand, stopping her from leaving.

Tiffany was out of the country for the week, she had a photoshoot to attend.

Mandy felt insulted hearing the words Jake said. He finally reduced her to the level of an understudy. When the leading lady isn't around, she becomes the replacement and has to take her position.

"Let go of me Jake!" Mandy said with a firm voice. "You can't have me, not now, not today, not ever."

"But I want you. I am not asking for sex. just... l just want you beside me tonight." Jake turned her towards him and he stood up from the bed.

FLASHBACK: The Night Of The Party

"If you want to know what a guy really feeis, then you have to ask him questions when his drunk." Tiffany said to her best friend Mandy, who was drooling over a fine handsome guy at the party.

"So what! I have to wait till his drunk, to ask him why he's been checking me out!" Mandy said sounding very impatient.

"Calm your nerves sweetheart. You know it's this impatient attitude of yours that rushed you into ending the beautiful relationship you had with Damian." Tiffany said teasingly.

" Oh please!  please! Damian was a jerk and I didn't need no patience to find that out."Mandy said sounding defensive for her actions in the past. "Besides, I am the most patient human you would ever come across, in your life." This time she was trying to correct the wrong impression Tiffany already had about her. "Okay tell me one time I wasn't patient.

'"Oh please!” Tiffany said mimicking Mandy, who was already wearing her angry face.”I could tell you a hundred. Babe, you really have to work on your impatient attitude. Remember that modelling deal you lost, oh how about the job at Greg's housing, what about the ambassadorial deal with drive - you

cars. Oh wow the list goes endless." Tiffany was laughing now.

Seeing Mandy make chirping sign with her hands trying to tell her to keep bluffing made Tiffany laugh even harder.

Those were the good old days.

"Mandy!” Tiffany tried to call out softly to her friend. “Mandy!"

Mandy was long gone, she was going to have a conversation with her admirer.

"Oh this girl never listens." Tiffany said hitting her head in disappointment, but with laughter.

Mandy turned and winked at her bestie.

##PRESENT##

"You want me Jake, and that's just how it is going to be, that is what it going to end with, you wanting me, but you would never have me again, because that night was the last night you would have me." Mandy loosed Jake's grip on her hand.

"You know I… you know I have feelings for you right. It was you, even before Tiffany ever came into the picture it was you. Jake leaned in closer and placed his forehead on Mandy's. “Don't make this harder for me again. Don't do

what you did to me three years ago again."

"You are drunk Jake. Go to bed." Mandy walked away and locked the door behind her.

Jake fell to the bed and in less than thirty seconds, he was deep in sleep.

"Was he really drunk? Did he really say all of that just because he was drunk? What did I do three years ago?" Mandy asked herself, she wasn't sure what Jake meant by all of what he said. He never told her he liked her in the past.

not even for once, the first time she ever met Jake it was through Tiffany.

"I'm back!" Tiffany said as she planted a kiss on Jake's lips. It was seven in the morning and Jake was having breakfast. "Did you miss me?" Tiffany asked about planting another kiss on his cheek.

"I think you should go freshen up first. You must be tired." Jake said as he pushed Tiffany gently away.

"What is going on? You didn't miss me? I woke up very early and booked the earliest flight back just to see you because I missed so much, and you are pushing me away!" Tiffany said with shock in her face.

"I'm not baby. And there is nothing going on Tiff,” Jake said looking at Mandy who was coming down the stairs. “I just feel you must be tired and I’m… I’m kinda late for work already."

"Well, okay, if you say so. I am going to believe you. You know I believe everything you say." I will see you when you come back." Tiffany said planting another kiss on his forehead.

"It is too early for this Tiffany It is just way too early for this." Mandy said as she walked into the kitchen to get a mop to clean up the water Tiffany made her spill intentionally.

"How dare you? Are you crazy!" Tiffany said giving Mandy a slap across the face. "Don't you ever talk back at me."

"I told you to never insult Tiffany or ever get violent with her in my presence and you are about doing that again." Jake said as he held Mandy's hand. She was about returning the slap back to Tiffany.

Mandy clenched her left fist, and then freed her hand from Jake's grip.

"I'm off honey." He said giving Tiffany a kiss on her neck.

"Ungrateful bitch. I pray you miss a step and hit your head really hard on the floor." Tiffany said as she sighed before walking away.

'"Yeah! He was definitely drunk." Mandy said to herself. She was truly convinced that Jake only acted that way because he was drunk, and he said all of those things because he was drunk too.

"Tiffany was lying when she said, if you want to know what a man really thinks, ask him questions when he is drunk, she was wrong that night too." Mandy thought and gulped down the water still remaining in the glass, then she had two more glasses before she went to get the mop.

"Let me do it ma'am." Kali said taking the mop from Mandy the moment she sighted her with it.

"Oh, thank you Kali."

"You asked for me!" Mandy said as she walked towards Mrs Mallory.

It was nine O'clock on a beautiful Saturday morning, the weather was perfect for strolls and jogs.

"Oh yes I did!" Mrs Mallory said confirming Mandy's claim.

"What do you want?" Mandy said in a very tired mood.

"Your language woman, watch your language. I don't want to get into any form of violence with you. The weather is too beautiful for that."

"Why did you call for me?"

"Oh well, I have some dirty clothes I would love you to watch." She said pointing at a pile of clothes at the end of the room.

"Excuse me?"

"Well you heard me correctly, wash those clothes."

"We have people who are paid to do that. If you can't call them, I can call them for you." Mandy was trying to be as polite as she could be.

"No no no no, I don't them to do the job., I want you to do it yourself. Actually, I thought about it and it seemed like a job that would suit you perfectly, because I mean you're nothing but a pauper, a lousy pauper."

Mandy didn't say a word, she just walked towards the clothes, gathered them and walked towards the door.

"Make sure you iron them too, I'm sure you know how laundry works, you should know the entire laundry process." She said sipping some orange juice.

Mandy walked away, with her eyes very red. She was holding back her tears as much as she could.

"It is too early to shed tears Mandy." She said to herself as she walked back to the main building.

"Ok I'm so sorry!" Mandy had bumped into someone on her way out as she was lost deep in thoughts.

"No it's fine. I guess you were just thinking about something important."

The voice sounded very familiar. She was sure it wasn't a voice she heard quite a lot, but for the short while she heard it, it stuck right in her head.

She raised up her head and looked at the face of the person in front of her, indeed it was who she had thought.
