EPISODE 21
"Tiffany! Babe!" Jake had called out as he ran towards the gate hoping to still find her there."Oh, thank goodness!" He exclaimed as he laid his eyes on her.
"There you are!"
"What do you want?" Tiffany said trying to play the hard girl role. "You asked me to leave with your eyes. You called me a monster, screaming you wanted nothing to do with me, with your eyes, but that was all still fine, hurtful but I could still deal with the pain, but not with the look you gave me before I left, you were afraid of me Jake!" Tiffany fell to the ground in a squatting position and then she wept.
"I'm sorry!" Jake said as he moved closer to her, squatting just as she had done. "That wasn't my intention; I didn't know I was passing on such a message to you. I am sorry if that was what you interpreted it to mean. It wasn't my intention." He raised her head which she had bowed to the floor and then he used the back of his palm to wipe away her tears. "I have a plan babe." He said to Tiffany who had stopped crying but was still sniffing.
"Wha... what...what plan?" Tiffany asked breaking through her crying voice.
"It's going to be hard for you to take on, but this is our only chance to get rid of Mandy forever." He leaned in closer to Tiffany and whispered into her ears.
"What!" Tiffany shouted, standing up all at once. "Anything but that, I could go with any other plan, I would agree with any other thing but that."
Jake walked towards Tiffany who was pacing around the whole place and then he held her hands to get her to stand in a position.
"I would be honest with you; this is the only chance we have left that would be safe for everyone,"
Tiffany pulled her face away as Jake tried to hold it with his wide palms, she knew if she lets him hold it for even a second, she was going to give in to whatever he says, Tiffany was a fool for Jake's touch.
"But! But!" Jake said holding on to it regardless of Tiffany's struggle to pull away. "If you say we shouldn't, we won't. If you say I should not, then I would not. I would go with whatever decision or choice you make."
Tiffany knew she was going to regret her choice, but what could she do? Jake already pressed on her weakness, he used it against her.
"Okay fine," She said. "But only for two weeks. If you can't get it done after two weeks, you would have to end it."
There was excitement in Jake's eyes, making one wonder, what exactly the excitement was for, was it because Tiffany agreed to their plan, or was there some other reason behind his excitement? Even Tiffany found it weird.
"Don't even let your guard down!"
Tiffany said with a commanding voice.
Mrs. Mallory looked behind Jake wanting to believe that Tiffany was with him and that he wasn't alone.
After confirming that Jake was alone, she was in shock.
"You came back!" Mrs. Mallory shouted more like a question than a statement.
"Yes Mom, I did!" Jake said with innocence in his eyes.
"Oh no no no! I don't believe you came back just like that." Mrs. Mallory had her doubts.
"Mom, Mandy has received a lot of ill-treatments already and today she was almost killed. Thinking about it now, l don't know what she did to deserve such wickedness."
Mrs. Mallory just stood there looking at her son in disbelief; she wasn't convinced by Jake's speech.
"Did you see the look in Tiffany's eyes when she held on to Mandy's throat? You didn't see it mother, and that is why you wouldn't understand. Tiffany scared me, I mean this was someone she called sister at some point in her life. It only automatically means that someday when I do something to get her upset, she could strangle me in my sleep without batting an eye, almost like she did something that wasn't in any way abnormal. That's scary mom!" Jake said as he shrugged his shoulders like he was feeling feverish.
Mrs. Mallory just stood there, watching her son demonstrate his speech with his hands and facial expression, she just watched him display his drama, not saying anything or even making any sound. It was clear she wasn't buying Jake's story, she was so sure that there was an ulterior motive and a hidden intention behind whatever he was saying.
"My son!" She said as she walked closer to him. "Even if you succeed in deceiving everyone, you can never deceive me. So I just want you to know that I know all you said is a lie and there is something you are not saying." She tapped him on his shoulders and then she left the house.
Jake turned to the staff who had been eavesdropping all through and then they all ran away to their duty.
"Mandy! Mandy!!" He shouted as he ran up the stairs.

She slowly turned around to see if anyone was watching her from any place in the house.
She picked up her phone and dialed the number immediately, but as usual, there was no response from the other end.
"Could it be...? Mrs. Mallory said trying to guess who it was ...oh no no no, what am I even thinking about or trying to imagine, it can't be, no it can't be! She said with a burst of laughter that reeked of fear.
It was ten minutes past eleven in the night, almost midnight, but Mandy could not sleep.
The memories of her baby had come back, and it broke her heart even more whenever she
remembered she didn't lose the baby due to an accident or a mistake, or any health issue, but rather because the one who was supposed to be the father of her child killed his own, all because of a lady who wasn't even saying the truth.
Mandy reeked of alcohol and so did her room, the whole room smelt stuffy and very bad. Mandy was drunk, very drunk.
Jake walked in with a bottle of whiskey in his hands, he was drunk too, and he needed the alcohol to help him do whatever he wanted to do. The door was locked and he knew it so he had come with a spare key.
"Maybe it's better l even lost the child," Mandy said as she beheld the sight of Jake. "Going back to heaven is a lot better than coming into this world to have someone this evil as your father." She said in a low tone, with a smile on her face, a sad smile.
Jake walked inside; staggering on his way, while he walked, his gaze was fixed on Mandy.
He sat on the floor beside Mandy and then he stared at her with a soft gaze, he never looked at Tiffany this way.
"Hey." He said drunkenly.
"Get out!" Mandy replied, trying to push him in her drunken state.
"Why?" He asked still holding that gaze.
"Because I.." Mandy couldn't say another word. For a split second, the alcohol cleared from her eye and then it held on to her back again leaving her drunk. She had raised her head and had seen the gaze in Jake's eyes.
It was familiar, she couldn't remember where she had seen those eyes but it felt familiar to her as she could hear her heartbeat very fast.
She quickly shoved the feelings away and tried hitting him with her hands.
Jake held her hands which she was striking on his chest. He held his close to his chest not letting go.
"Do you remember now?" He asked her.
Mandy felt he was talking about the gaze and the eyes but she didn't want to admit it was what he was talking about so she pulled her hands away and turned her face.
"What are you talking about? What am I
supposed to remember?" She asked.
Jake held her cheeks with his left hand and then he turned her face towards him. He moved his thumb over her cheek while the rest of his fingers still stayed still. "You still don't remember, My Mandy?" Jake said as he held her face with both his hands.
Only one person personalizes Mandy's name.
"It can't be!" Mandy said.
#######
Mrs. Mallory walked to the door fidgeting. Feeling ice cold and burning hot all at the same time.
"Hey, Mrs. Mallory," The person behind the door greeted.
Mrs. Mallory shuddered and jerked backward, she was shocked to see the figure behind the door.
"It can't be!" She said with fear running through her veins.
