EPISODE 12
The view from the room is the best in the hospital. Princeton hospital is actually worth its title as a first-class treatment. Even when you pay for a regular room, you still get a VIP. treatment, but obviously the VIP treatment becomes even more amazing when you actually pay for a VIP room.
Jake picks up the control for the air conditioner and adjusts it to suit the temperature he wanted. He dropped it back on the mini cupboard that was made available for placing provisions and other foods.
He picked up Tiffany's hand, holding it close to his face and sniffled trying not to let the tears come rushing again.
How sad it is, that Jake never came with Mandy to hospital, not even for once. He didn't bother coming with her to share in the joy babies bring, but here he was, with his mistress.
"I really hope you get better babe. I have work to do and appointments to catch up with. I can't cancel them Tiff, so please! Wake up! Do it for me and you too, do it for the both of us!"

Mandy felt sad and surprised all at once. She was sad because she had hoped Jake was the one who had come, despite all the things Jake had done to Mandy; she just couldn't help but be in love with her baby's father. She was shocked because she never expected this visitor.
Mandy couldn't believe her eyes. The last person she ever thought would come to see her is the person right before her eyes. Deep down Mandy felt happy, she thought Mrs. Mallory actually came to see her because she was worried, even though she perfectly knew Mrs. Mallory was the one who got her in there in the first place.
"What do you want?" Mandy said as she sat down, trying to hide the tiny joy in her heart.
Mrs. Mallory turned and saw that eyes were on them, so she tried her best not to get violent.
"Manners, young lady! Show a little bit of courtesy would you. A ‘Hi' won't be bad." She said wearing a smile that was obviously a fake one.
"Oh please, Mrs. Mallory, you and I know you didn't come here to take me on manner classes. Just get straight to the point."
"I'm trying hard here Mandy; please don't make this even harder than it already is for me." Now there was a visible grin behind the smile.
"Trying hard at what exactly?"
"I am sorry Mandy." Mrs. Mallory said taking a pause after each word. Saying it was a bitter pill to swallow. "I am sorry Mandy that I said it. I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! It's no hard task. Would you like me to kneel down too?" She said kneeling down.
Mandy was confused. She had no idea what was going on.
"What exactly are you sorry for? What is all of this drama for? You still haven't said anything that makes any sense to me."
Mrs. Mallory got up and returned back to her seat. "I'm sorry for accusing you of being the one who pushed Tiffany into the pool when I actually didn't see you. Please forgive me, Mandy."
Now everything made sense. The investigation proved Mandy innocent and found Mrs. Mallory guilty of an offence, now to avoid spending even a minute in the cell she came to reach a settlement.
'"You would go to any length just to get what you want: Fine I forgive you. How do I tell my child I sent his grandma to prison?" Mandy said with a sad smile.
She had always dreamt of the day when the Mallory's would be at her mercy and how she would make them pay for all the pain they've inflicted on her both physically and emotionally, but today she couldn't bring herself to do it.
She doesn't want to be a monster just as they are.
She signaled the police officer that she was done with whatever business she had there.
"See you at home ma'am." She said as left the room.
"Sign here, here and here," The officer said as he watched Mandy sign her discharge documents. "You really are a kind human ma'am. I pray your kindness meets you again along the way." He said as he collected the copies from her.
"Thank you," Mandy said returning the smile the man gave her. It has been a really long time since someone smiled at her with genuineness. "That is all I have to do right?" She said trying to confirm if she was free to go.
"Oh! Yes! Yes, you can go now ma'am." He watched Mandy walk towards the exit door. "Bye ma'am." He said waving at her.
Mandy turned and smiled even brighter.
"Such innocence," He said starring at
Mandy until he could no longer see her.

A nurse walked into the room with the patient record book in her hand and some syringe and bottles on a silver tray on the other hand.
"Good evening Doc," Jake greeted as he wiped his eyes. He had slept off.
"Oh I'm sorry sir, did I wake you up?"
"No, no, no, it's fine. How is she?" He asked feeling less sleepy.
For a patient who underwent such struggle in the surgery room, she is recovering very fast, making it too good to be true." The nurse replied with a smile.
"Oh thank goodness!" Jake said sounding relieved.
"So how long do you think we would have to stay before we get discharged?"
"Umm... A maximum of two days, and with the way she is recovering, she might even get discharged tomorrow." The nurse said with a chuckle.
"I hope so too."
"After she gets discharged, she needs to be properly taken care of to help complete her recovery."

TWO DAYS LATER
Mandy sat outside at the balcony, still trying to phantom the fact that her husband hadn't come back home for three days.
"Mrs. Boss, brunch is ready." The head chef had come to announce.
"Is Mrs. Mallory eating with me?"
"No ma'am. It's just you."
"Okay. I will be down in five minutes.”
"Okay ma'am."
Sometimes Mandy wonders what exactly it was people envied about the Mallory's. The relationship between the mother and son isn't beautiful. The relationship between the wife and husband is even worse than that of
strangers. There was nothing she could see that was worth envying.
"Humans and shallow sights, they never really want to look deep to see, they get carried away by what's on the surface." Mandy said to herself with a sad sigh.
"This is quite a feast!" Mandy exclaimed at the sight of the meal.
"Well, we want our little prince or princess to grow up healthy and strong." James the only male chef in the house had chipped in.
"Oh, thank you. I guess I have to eat it all then." Mandy said laughing.
Everyone else joined in the laughter, this moment was beautiful.
It was four in the evening; Mrs. Mallory had walked into the main house just to piss Mandy off as usual. Just before she could enter inside the house, a car honked at the gate, it was Jake. Ray rushed to get the gate open it.
Mrs. Mallory walked happily to give her son a hug, hoping to get mad at him for leaving her to solve her issues alone later, but the person she saw come out from the other side forced her steps to seize.
Tiffany tagged along.
Mrs. Mallory turned and walked straight inside the house, it was going to be a dramatic evening.
"The mistress just arrived," Someone who watched from the side of the building said hanging up the phone.
Mandy stood up from the couch were she sat enjoying a show so she could go upstairs after greeting Mrs. Mallory.
She knew what was to follow if she stayed in the same space with her, but the two people that came in after her, seized her steps as well.
"Why is she here?" Mandy asked Jake.
She rubbed her tummy again, she was getting tensed. "I asked you a question right?" She said walking over to Jake.
"I can't believe you!" Tiffany yelled, but weaker than she normally would have. "You should be thankful l am not so strong, because I would be pulling your hairs out right now!" She said taking a few steps forward. "Ouch!" She yelled holding on to her head.
"I told you not to stress yourself!" Jake said hurrying to her. "If you must know, Tiffany would be living with us now, so you better get used to her presence, and everyone must do whatever she wants!" He said facing Mandy. "Kali!"He screamed.
"Yes boss!" Kali responded running into the living room.
"Tell everyone that they must do whatever Tiffany asks them to do!"
"Okay sir."
"Jake! Are you serious right now? You didn't find it necessary to discuss this with me before bringing her over? Haven't you humiliated me enough?"Mandy asked Jake, as she was almost losing her mind.
Jake tried moving away, ignoring her, so she held on to his shirt. He removed her hand and pushed her forcefully to the floor.
"Oh, I just can't deal with all of you right now," Mrs. Mallory said returning back to the penthouse.
Mandy sat on the floor with an expression on her face that showed she was in pain.
"Ahh! Ouch! Ahhh!" She screamed out.
She was serious pain.
Jake couldn't care less; he didn't even bat an eye but just walked upstairs with Tiffany.
Kali ran to her, to find out why she screamed. She saw blood dripping down from Mandy.
"Oh, my Goodness!" Kali screamed.
She was about losing the baby.
