One night stand with my president (chapter 670)

Chapter 670: Mr. Thomson Is Asking You to Come In

The men were still brazenly making lewd jokes in their small group chat.

Then, they all simultaneously received notifications from their respective superiors.

“Report to Mr. Thomson’s office.”

Seeing the notification, they were dumbfounded.

Report to Mr. Thomson’s office?

They were just low-level employees. Why would they be summoned to Mr. Thomson’s office?

Each of them was trembling with fear, but their superiors wouldn’t explain anything. They only told them to go quickly and warned that they would face the consequences if they were late.

Hearing this, none of them dared to delay and hurried to the door of Harrison’s office.

Those who arrived first didn’t dare to enter immediately and hesitated at the door.

Soon, everyone had gathered.

Then, they all realized something was wrong.

Everyone present was a participant in Harlow’s bet—no more, no less.

“Is this… a coincidence?” Harlow asked, his voice trembling.

“Do you think so? What kind of coincidence is that? We usually don’t even get to see Mr. Thomson. Today, we’re suddenly summoned to his office, and it’s exactly all of us together!”

“But… we just wanted to invite Miss Hensley out. Would Mr. Thomson really bother with such a small matter?”

“Could it be because Miss Hensley is someone Mr. Thomson values, so…”

“Or is there some relationship between Mr. Thomson and Miss Hensley beyond boss and subordinate?”

Any of these speculations was enough to make their hearts pound with fear.

They had no idea what awaited them inside and were completely reluctant to enter.

“What if… we just run?”

“Are you insane? What about our jobs?”

“At this point, do you think we can keep our jobs anyway?”

“Even if we could run from here, do you think we could actually leave the company? And even if we did, do you think Mr. Thomson couldn’t have us brought back? Getting caught would probably make our fate even worse!”

While they were discussing in a panic, the office door opened from the inside.

The person who opened it was one of Harrison’s assistants at the branch office, the same person who had just investigated the matter.

“Why are you all standing here?” the assistant said impassively. “Mr. Thomson is asking you to come in.”

At this point, they had no choice. Trembling with fear, they all filed into the office.

The moment they entered, they were instantly hit by an overwhelming sense of oppression.

Several of them couldn’t help but start shaking, a far cry from their brazen, vulgar behavior in the group chat.

Harrison sat at his desk.

His face showed no particular expression. Only his index finger tapped rhythmically on the desk, while his gold-rimmed glasses reflected a cold light.

Adeline sat on the nearby sofa, sipping her coffee.

Neither of them spoke, but among the group of men, someone already couldn’t take the pressure and started begging for mercy.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Thomson! I know I was wrong. I’ll never dare to do it again!”

Hearing his words, Harrison still did not speak.

However, the assistant standing beside him spoke up.

“Oh? Then tell us, what exactly were you wrong about?”

“I… I shouldn’t have coveted Miss Hensley. I shouldn’t have joined that bet. I… I was delusional…”

As he spoke, he cautiously glanced at Harrison.

Then he saw Harrison curl his lips into a cold smile.

His heart immediately leapt into his throat.

And Harrison finally spoke.

“It seems you’ve… mistaken the person you should be apologizing to?”
