One night stand with my president (chapter 276)

Chapter 276 She Is Very Disrespectful

Isaline couldn't help but want to roll her eyes.

Braydon glanced at her and asked, "You're new here, aren't you?"

"I'm just here to help out," Isaline replied. "But she was clearly the one who..."

"Enough!" Braydon said with a stern face. "Miss Fraser is our guest. How could you be so rude? Leave the room now!"

Then, he turned to Eleanor with an apologetic smile. "I'm very sorry, Miss Fraser. Mi be sure to lecture her."

Isaline knew that Braydon was actually trying to smooth things over and was giving her a chance to leave.

She didn't want to keep entangling herself with Eleanor either.

Just as she was about to leave, Eleanor wasn't about to let it go.

"Is this how you handle things?" Eleanor sneered.

"Are you just going to let her stay here so she can give the guests the cold shoulder?"

Braydon looked a bit troubled.

Even though he understood that Eleanor was most likely just picking on a junior employee, Eleanor was still a guest and a celebrity they were collaborating with, so there were things he couldn't say outright.

"So what would you suggest?"

"She should be fired, of course." Eleanor brushed her hair back with a strange smile.

Isaline was about to explode with anger.

Eleanor had clearly caused the trouble herself, and now she was going to get Isaline fired.

"Miss Fraser, you may not know, but she's not even from our department. She's just here helping out, and I don't have the authority to fire her," Braydon said awkwardly. "Besides, she's just a young lady trying to make her way. It's not easy...”

"What does her situation have to do with me?" Eleanor sneered. "Besides, if all she's doing is handling menial tasks, it's pretty clear she's just a low-level employee, right? You're a manager, and getting her fired should be as easy as snapping your fingers."

Eleanor couldn't do anything to Adeline, but surely she could handle a mere employee.

"So, this is the kind of person you are, Miss Fraser," Isaline said coldly. "I wonder how your fans would feel if they saw your true colors."

"Oh, they all know I'm very kind," Eleanor smiled.

"If you hadn't been rude to me, I wouldn't have given you a hard time."

She wasn't afraid of Isaline trying to expose her.

No one would believe the words of an ordinary person like Isaline.

She could easily accuse Isaline of spreading rumors.

"Miss Fraser, how about we start discussing the collaboration?" Braydon said awkwardly.

"As for the issue with her, we can address it later. Would that be alright?"

"No," Eleanor said. "If she's not fired today, then I'm not discussing anything."

Harrison wasn't around, and Eleanor knew Braydon wouldn't dare do anything to her, so she felt free to act out.

Just then, a voice at the door suddenly said,

"What's going on here?"

They all turned to see Adeline standing in the doorway.

"Miss Hensley!" Braydon looked as if he had seen his savior. "You're just in time."

Adeline had been heading back to the president's office and happened to pass by.

The meeting room door was open, and she had heard voices that sounded like an argument.

So she decided to check what was going on.

She hadn't expected to see Isaline there.

And judging by the scene, it looked like Eleanor and Isaline were in some sort of conflict.

"Miss Hensley..." Isaline suddenly felt a sense of relief when she saw Adeline. Her eyes were turning red.

"What are you doing here?" Adeline walked over and asked.

Isaline replied, "They were short-staffed here, so I came to help. I was just bringing her coffee when she..."

"Miss Hensley, this employee has been very disrespectful to me," Eleanor interrupted, "and that upset me."

Adeline looked at her blankly.

She knew exactly what kind of person Eleanor was.

Adeline was familiar with Isaline and had a good sense of her character.

Even if Isaline was a stranger, Adeline would still believe it wasn't her fault.

Under Adeline's gaze, Eleanor felt a bit uncomfortable.

Eleanor thought, "Why on earth did Adeline have to show up here?"

She didn't want any interaction with Adeline.

"Miss Hensley, that's not how it happened!"

Isaline said, her eyes reddening. "I was just bringing her coffee, and she purposely gave me a hard time."

Isaline recounted everything that had happened.

Before Adeline could say anything, Eleanor cut in, "Miss Hensley, the coffee she made was genuinely awful. Is it wrong for me to say something about it? Are all junior employees this temperamental?"

Adeline said coldly, "Miss Fraser, whether they're top executives or junior employees, everyone deserves respect. If you don't respect others, how can you expect them to respect you?"

Eleanor said, "Just because I said the coffee was bad, that's considered disrespectful?"

"You know very well whether Isaline's coffee tasted bad. If you insist on making this an issue,. let's get to the bottom of it. I'll have someone check the sugar levels in the coffee you usually drink and then compare it to the coffee Isaline just made. Then we'll see if you were genuinely expressing your opinion or simply trying to make things difficult for her."

With that, Adeline actually pulled out her phone, ready to make a call.

Eleanor quickly said, "Miss Hensley, isn't it a bit much to make such a fuss over something so small?"

"Now you're saying it's a small matter? When you asked the manager to fire me just now, why didn't you consider it a small matter? Why did you make such a fuss, demanding I be fired?" Isaline retorted angrily.

Eleanor was on the verge of exploding with anger.

It was bad enough that she had to put up with Adeline, but now she also had to tolerate an employee.

"You..."

Eleanor wanted to lash out, but with Adeline right there, she forced herself to hold back.

"Fine, let's just drop it," Eleanor said, putting on an air of magnanimity.

Though Isaline was still fuming, she knew that Eleanor’s words likely meant the matter

would be brushed off. Eleanor was a big star, and Isaline was just a junior employee.

Even though Eleanor had been the one to make things difficult, she was acting like she was"forgiving" Isaline. Isaline had no choice but to accept it.

However, at that moment, Adeline said calmly, "It's not over yet, Miss Fraser. I'd like you to apologize to our employee for your disrespect."

Isaline was stunned and looked at Adeline gratefully.

Eleanor's face darkened. "Miss Hensley, don't you think it's too much to ask me to apologize to her?"

"If you're in the wrong, you should apologize, Miss Fraser. The Thomson Group is not a place where you can behave however you please," Adeline replied.

"You..." Eleanor was about to lose her mind with anger.

Yet she couldn't afford to be disrespectful toward Adeline.

Facing her adversary, Eleanor had to swallow her fury. The frustration was almost unbearable.

  3. Better treatment for Miss Fraser, Adeline. I love Adeline's gut over Miss Fraser's foolish acting of pride.
