One night stand with my president (chapter 273)

Chapter 273: Angry Over a Dream

In the dream, she was quite smug.

But then, Harrison in the dream suddenly started blaming her.

"Why did you kick the shuttlecock away? How are we supposed to play if you kicked it away?"

Adeline felt particularly aggrieved and said, "The shuttlecock mutated. It was clearly trying to harm you, so I kicked it away to protect you. Why can't you see that?"

Then Russell said, "Who asked you to protect us?"

"Exactly," Harrison echoed. "That shuttlecock is much more important to me than you are."

And Adeline ended up crying from anger.

When she woke up, she was still immersed in the dream.

The thought that Harrison had said a shuttlecock was far more important than her made her angry.

She huffed as she finished her morning routine, got dressed in a huff, and then went to knock on the guest room door.

Harrison was jolted awake by the knocking.

With his hair still tousled and eyes half-closed, he walked over and opened the door.

"What's wrong?"

"Get up. Time for work," Adeline said curtly.

Harrison was confused.

He thought, "Is it my imagination? Adeline seems a bit angry."

Everything had been fine before he went to bed last night.

"How could she suddenly be angry after just a night's sleep?" Harrison thought.

"What's the matter?" Harrison asked.

Adeline had already turned and was walking towards the kitchen, answering, "Nothing much." Her saying "nothing much" sounded a lot like "I'm really angry right now."

Harrison was puzzled and instinctively wanted to follow her, but then he remembered he had just woken up. He hadn't showered and was still in

his pajamas.

Afraid she might find him unpresentable, he quickly got ready, showered, changed into a fresh set of clothes, and then headed to the kitchen.

Adeline was already cooking spaghetti.

Standing at the kitchen door, Harrison asked in a somewhat conciliatory tone, "What's wrong? | feel like you're angry."

At this point, Adeline had already calmed down.

She had just woken up not long ago and was still a bit absorbed in the dream.

But when she got sober now, she found it absurd to get angry with Harrison over a dream.

Yet Harrison still felt something was off.

"You definitely seemed angry earlier," Harrison said. "Did something happen?"

Adeline cracked an egg and said, "If I said that was just morning grumpiness, would you believe me?"

"I've known you for five years," Harrison said ruefully. "I know very well whether you have

morning grumpiness or not."

Adeline really didn't want to explain.

But Harrison kept pressing.

She was afraid he would keep overthinking, so she ended up telling him about the dream she had last night.

When he heard her words, Harrison's mouth kept twitching.

He really couldn't hold it in anymore.

"What kind of bizarre dream has she had? More importantly, she was actually angry with me because of a dream?" he thought.

"That man in the dream isn't really me,"

Harrison said helplessly. "Getting angry with me over a dream is rather unreasonable."

"You say I'm unreasonable?" Adeline said angrily.

"How do we know if dreams are not reflections of reality?"

Harrison tried to suppress his laughter and said, "Anyway, I wouldn't consider a shuttlecock more important than you."

Adeline was a bit speechless.

She gave Harrison a fierce glare and asked, "Do you still want to eat the spaghetti?"

"Yes, of course." Harrison immediately surrendered. "I'm starving."

Adeline turned back to continue cooking the spaghetti, a smile slowly forming at the corners of her mouth.

Meanwhile, Eleanor's house was in chaos.

Lance had already smashed almost everything he could find but was still throwing a tantrum, yelling at the people Benjamin sent.

"I already said I'm not leaving. Are you deaf? How many times do I have to say it? Get out!" Lance shouted.

Eleanor sat aside, looking indifferent.

Benjamin's people had arrived yesterday, but Lance refused to leave.

He even threw a fit and smashed up her belongings.

Benjamin's people tried to forcibly take him away, but Lance fought back desperately.

They were afraid of hurting him. After all, he was the second heir of the Tillman family.

So they had been dragging it out all night, and Lance had been making a scene all night.

His voice was even a bit hoarse now.

Eleanor was extremely annoyed.

She also wanted to yell at Benjamin's people.

She didn't understand why they were so ineffective. They control a man.

"Mr. Lance, this is Mr. Tillman's order," one of the subordinates said earnestly. "Please come with us."

"Get lost! Who do you think you are to talk to me?" Lance punched him in the face.

The subordinate fell to the ground but didn't dare to say anything, only standing up silently.

At this moment, Lance's gaze fell back on Eleanor.

"Darling, why aren't you reacting at all?" Lance asked ominously.

Eleanor snapped out of it, startled, and quickly said, "What are you talking about? I'm just sad. I can't bear to part with you."

"I'm not leaving," Lance said coldly with a smirk.

"I see. You're hoping I leave so it's easier for you to seduce Harrison, aren't you?"

As he spoke, he walked up to her.

After saying this, he suddenly reached out and gripped her neck tightly.

"Don't... Lance, let go of me..." Eleanor was terrified and desperately tried to push his hand away.

Looking at him, Eleanor felt he might kill her.

This perverted man could do anything when he was impulsive.

Eleanor looked to the subordinates nearby for help, but they only watched indifferently.

After all, she wasn't from the Tillman family. In their eyes, she was certainly less important than Lance.

At this moment, a cold voice sounded. "Lance, stop.”

It was Benjamin's voice.

Hearing this, Lance instinctively relaxed his grip.

Eleanor took the chance to free herself, stood up, and ran to hide behind Benjamin.

"Mr. Tillman, Lance is trying to kill me."

Benjamin looked at Lance with a furrowed brow.

"Are you out of your mind?" Benjamin said.

"I'm out of my mind!" Lance roared. "I clearly said I didn't want to leave. Why do you insist on forcing me to go home?"

"Why insist on staying here?" Benjamin asked coldly. "You've already done something you shouldn't have. Are you waiting for someone to investigate you?"

"I've been so cautious. No one will find out it's me." Lance said.

Benjamin said,”Is that so? But I just got the news.”
